  1. LoL I do know a lot of collectors that by direct and cut the coins out for books. I keep the slab nickels in there holders for the future generations. But I do a lot of roll hunting and I find BU,AU,FV and F coins. Those Coins I put aside and after I have a bunch I sort them out take the best and put them in the book. There are always a few that are hard to find I am still looking for 2009 P and D in good shape and a 2022 D for the last book I finished.
  2. Thanks Jo, I like it. Most of these are the best of the best I had saved up from roll hunting. I may find some better here and there while looking for the 38-61 set. If you are very carful you can pop a coin out of it's hole and replace it but I will deal with that when the time comes.
  3. I finished the old nickel book 62-95. The two nickels I have been looking for showed up in a bank roll last night. On to the next book 38-61
  4. I found the two missing coins for my { Book Number Two } 1962 -1995 last night roll hunting. I like it
  5. I would make a totally new thread on the dime Harry. That way there is no confusion on any comments . Is the dime date doubled, hard to tell from the photo ?
  6. Ya I have to check my list all the time.
  7. I have the same boxes TJ they work great and they hold NGC and any brand of slab
  8. You need a break Hinkle. Two days is too much time on this cent. Very nice picture by the way .
  9. It would be hard to give a realistic grade without seeing both sides of the coin. You can have a great cheek but a bad bird so it will change the grade of the coin. Again the tone looks to be questionable to cover something like cleaning and dings ?
  10. It could be a pigeon there are many in Washington. LoL......... I agree with Moxie15 not much to gain from that blister or chip.
  11. I think it is worthy to hang on to. I myself would not spend any money to have it labeled. Too many spots on it.
  12. I think Quintus has a few of the gold ones Jo.
  13. It is a possibility the coin is also a bit circulated. You will have to look for other markers to verify if it is, or is not. Take a look and compare the other markers here. http://www.varietyvista.com/01c LC Doubled Dies Vol 3/1997PDDO001 cent.htm
  14. You may get a 66 it looks like it is in nice shape but the toning has me worried it looks so perfect.
  15. In the old days weren't the dies engraved by hand and now days done by machine ? That would also change the look a bit.
  16. Good luck. I think TPG are reluctant to give out high grades on certain coins like Nickels and Morgan's, to much controversy
  17. I am guessing or hoping it was not any key date Morgan's . Just because they look bad does not mean they are worth less. some may even be VAM's. That's another story Liam.
  18. I picked up another nice coin for the set 1960 D. It is not FS but like I said before it is a hard find for 60's coins in Full Steps.
  19. You are on the right page you just have to make a new topic. Just click the green box on the top right of the main page and make a new thread.
  20. Nice one Hinkle. Like the others said it is cool enough to hang on to.
  21. Sad to hear. David has always been a big contributor to this site. I will be praying for him and his family.
  22. I can only comment on what I see I do not have the coin in my hand .from what I see it is a clad 1971 50 cent piece. Sorry. Send it in for real proof is all I can say. Good luck.
