  1. Yes these lines are rounded and continues not stepped like when the die jumps, So are they in the die itself that is the question ??
  2. You all know me by now and I would not put this up but I see a different type of doubling here than normal Mechanical Doubling. See how the line is rounded not flat look at the O in God it starts out on the outside left and circles into the center back where it started. You can see it best on the rounded letters and numbers but it is on all of them. Is this more like Hub Doubling I did not find a listing for this in Vista. Let me know what you guys think.
  3. It would have full steps also if it was not for that one nick by the clash
  4. I put this up earlier in the cherry picker post but thought it deserved it's own spot after looking a little closer. There is a clash at the bottom of the steps it is half of Jefferson's eye and on the front you can see the edge of the step running through the nose ,past the eye and out into the field by the hair. Kind of a cool find
  5. Good day for coins today found a nice 2011 P Die clash on the reverse under steps it is Jefferson's eye
  6. The lady's at the bank were in a good mood today when I went in to get my rolls ,One asked me if I wanted this 1964 if I saved any old coins like this or if I just roll hunted the new stuff
  7. Oh and that $80 a day was 22 years ago. I cant imagine how much it would be nowadays 4 packs of smokes a 30 pack of beer after the 3 hour bar tab and I probably wouldn't be here to talk about it anyway.
  8. I know it is not worth anything but melt. I mostly wanted the 1909 VDB so I bought the other stuff in hopes that looking at them under the USB Magnifier it may yield one keeper. I look at it this way in the old days I used to spend $80 or more a day on smokes, booze and scratch tickets So when I buy junk off and on for 2,5 or $10 whenI am out looking for the good stuff, it is not that big a deal. And yes I do put money aside for the good stuff Woods. That's why I am out there looking.
  9. No not really . But a 1945 Mercury G4 is $4 on the price guide and a 62 Roosevelt is $2.20 and 1904 G4 Penny is $ 2 .So I am close Not that anyone would want any of these
  10. Looks like a bad Die on the new 2021. They did some polishing to try to fix The R + E on Delaware
  11. The coin looks like it was stored in a can or jar with other change stacked on top of it and it discolored in areas, I see lots of half circles. but no die break or error
  12. Thanks for the heads up on the slab Then the coin could have been changed out at one time. Or it could be the real deal but why change the case
  13. Thanks ,That's what I was hoping to hear, The coin is ok but I was thinking at 50 a bit high it was a mirror background in it's day but it has fogged a bit. Not sure if it would cross over unless cleaned up buy NGC conservation. MS 66 is a high grade for a Ben most are worth $400 but again Proof and BS are two different things.
  14. I was looking at this 1963 proof and wanted to see if we have any Franklin collectors here ? I have been told FBL is for BS strikes and suppose to cancel out if it is a proof coin. So my question is would this be worth the $50 ? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks ..JP
  15. Well you just gota take a ride down 81 and go and get some grits, or you can go to the local paint store and get some wallpaper paste. It will be a close second to grits
  16. Oh come on now you must have been on 81 S and hit a Cracker-barrel everything you order comes with Biscuits and gravy and grits
  17. I have one milk spot coin so far out of my whole 36 coin set of ASE's and I may replace that one if no others get spots. I heard somewhere if they don't get spots after a few years they most likely don't have the imperfections in the metal that brings the spots out. We will see
  18. Thank you for looking at the penny DW. No others from NGC have yet to comment on the ask NGC post. I will most likely be sending this in anyway I just wanted to know if it would be labeled as a Ragged Fissure or just bad planchet. As far as the strike you mentioned I don't think the hub would have tilted to make a uneven strike. I think the planchet was whole until after the strike keeping the hub even and then the piece fell out afterwards . I like the fact that it has been kicking around for 40 years and we are just finding it now.
