  1. Welcome. It is a bit worn but if the price is right and you like it that is all that matters
  2. That was something I started doing to help keep the counterfeiters guessing.
  3. It is a great way with pictures to keep track of your coins without having to go look for them. You can add comments about the coin. See the average price ,gains and drops. It's just a fun thing to have.
  4. Ya I looked at it up close and personal and it is not DD anything . I was looking at the fact that 44 P was the first year to make a billion Lincoln Cents.
  5. Thanks guys I like my 66's. Your 67 set is just amazing Lem. the price jump from 66 to 67 is a hard pill for me to swallow, Your right Lem a big chunk of change them 67's. I pick them up when they fall off the back of the truck. I get lucky once in a while.
  6. Going through some rolls tonight. Not a bad looking wheat cent for it's age.
  7. Well I don't like the chops but It looks like it has been around a bit.
  8. I see these Innovation coins for sale at antique stores a lot in small tubes. One year per tube with 8 or 10 coins in them. I think they come out of a coin display like the Franklin Mint stuff.
  9. I got another fine looking toned MS 66 coin for the registry set. I am real happy with this coin it is a very hard coin to find above MS 65 and even more so with FS. I think Lem has a MS 67. The cool part is this coin has the highest point so far in the set and I will never forget the deal I got on this coin. ( It is almost the same as the date )
  10. It is more about the learning experience and the pareidolia that comes with coin searching than making fun. Jim, If you search a lot like I do you have many double takes on coins that you just have to weed out. Thanks, Jo, Ya that bag would keep me busy for around seven to ten days. I average 3 rolls or more a night if I am not going to fast. LoL.. I like my girls at the bank they always give me the home rolls or older looking if they have them. Plus I exchange the old rolls for new rolls that bag is $139.99 over face value. A bit of a mark up there. I guess you are paying for the funny smelling guy in the cellar who sorted out 21 years of Nickels.
  11. Aww ,Jo you took the fun out of it. Turning the photo and enlarging it was not the point. It was the statement, (Now I am seeing things). to emphasize how easy things can look like, things they are not.
  12. LoL that was the first thing I saw was the close AM, Brad but it would not matter anyway it is just to damaged for anything
  13. I agree with Bob it is just contact marks and stuff that makes you think you are seeing things .Now I am seeing things ?. Is the date 2027 it is just a shadow but it looks close to a 7
  14. Modern Dollars look more like brass tokens to me. I have no desire to keep them even when I get them in change. The new coins can be given to the grandkids for candy. Now a real brass token would have a spot to stay at my house.
  15. Is this the same coin as the first photo. If so it looks better in this shot . I still looks like it was cleaned at some point but the tone is not as bright like the first shots??
  16. . Welcome, Thatlilpennyguy. There are many members that Sandon has helped with his knowledge. You will find many members here are well informed and are always ready to give a helping hand. I want to say don't be to quick to judge there is lots to see and learn. I know I find something new everyday and I have been around for a while. Good luck in your coin ventures. Just ask if you have a question on something.
  17. Yes. Girls do have a tendency to change everything. In my case it was for the better.
  18. Thanks Laurie, Welcome to the forum. I have a few books to complete. I finished this one and the state and park quarters. Now I am working on some Nickels for a change of pace 1962 to 1995 and 1996 to 2022 I am close on both. I think I need 5 in each book. It is a fun thing to do.
  19. Ya he may end up a collector. It is too soon to tell . He just turned three LoL but he has been helping me from the beginning. Well his beginning .
  20. Searching for the lost nickels for the book I found this today. It is always a treat to find old FS,pre,1964 silver and proofs roll hunting.
  21. You logged into the NGC collectors society page that is where you have to delete the coin.
  22. They are the best of the best coins I find when roll hunting. about two years or so worth. I sort them in six big old pill bottles by date then when I have multiple dates and the bottles are full I sort them again. That way it only takes a day or so to fill the book with the nicest circulated MS looking coins when the time comes. There are a few that have a tint to them and they may tone up, or a gray look to them. Some have bag marks but mostly ok stuff. We all know coin collectors aren't to fussy
