  1. So CK you are saying anything purchased at banks before 1999 will be mostly junk common coins, No BU.
  2. There are collectors here like Kurt that buy rolls directly from the mint the year they come out. CK
  3. Well from the looks of it, Kurt has some rolls. And Zadok also sees them.
  4. Drill mark for sure, Mike It is not lined up perfect because the dies are not lined up as good as your overlay Tony.
  5. It is not, The SMS coins were not released until 1966 and that included the 1965 SMS set. You may have a proof 1964 coin but not a SMS.
  6. If these numbers are close than PCGS and NGC on an average grade over 1000 coins an hour. That must be a tough environment to work in and meet a quota.
  7. Good to see you are enjoying the hobby. I advise caution when the time comes to start making purchases. Learn as much as you can and ask questions here before you go down that road. It will save you a lot of grief.
  8. I think the skin is more in focus than the coin. I do not think this coin is a good example for grading. But if you have money to spend it is your choice.
  9. You are still qualified QA. All the good coins are least fifty years old.
  10. It looks like the reeded edge has been pushed over to the rim. If so not an error just wear and tear.
  11. I agree with the others, it must have had a mount for a neckless at one time. It would be better to leave it as is than damage the coin.
  12. Looks like a keeper to me. I would consider having this graded that would help to clarify the authenticity and the value somewhat. In the end it is, will someone want it.
  13. Welcome, As Greenstang said your mint marks look like plating blisters and rot which is common on copper coated zinc cents.
  14. WoW , that is quite a set Jimbo.
  15. Welcome, that is something that has been done after it left the mint. Not an error
  16. I think you may be confused there are no W 1986 Silver Eagles that I know of. Can we see a photo of the coin?
  17. It matters not. It cannot be. There would be no Lincoln Memorial reverse die anywhere around the press to make this impression on a 2016 Shield cent. The last Memorial cent was 2008.
  18. I got the chart from one of the other members. It may have been Old Hoopster
  19. So, this coin was in one of the rolls today with some other half nice ones.
  20. I think the point of the matter Jason and many others will say is. Yes, it is a low mintage valuable coin. But try to sell it for the quoted value and you will see many others for a lower sale price. That is what kills its rarity.
  21. Yes this coin is not the cream of the crop for sure, But still a fun find. A 99 would be nice to find that would finish off my WAM collection. As you can see the 99 is a bit harder to find.
