Ok folks, I picked up a PGCS graded 2014 S Kennedy half for just $12. I need this one to complete my set of all Kennedy’s. My intent was to crack it out for the set, but I find myself hesitant to do so there is little added value to me in keeping it as a graded coin, and I know someone paid good money to get it graded.coin facts lists this coin for $16 what would YOU do? by the way, I already hade the 2014 reverse proof.

Welcome to the chat board! Here are a couple of ideas for storing and displaying your medals. The tray will hold regular slabs for display. Just purchase the correct size slabs and insert them into the tray. the second is a neat storage/display box. both are inexpensive and available on Amazon

I agree ! I know it was discussed many times but todays example just struck a nerve because I was so proud of the ms 1941 P I got this week. I see it all the time including all the 19.99 silver eagles and Morgan cc’s the scammers are hawking. Just turns my stomach.

What am I missing? How can these sellers get away with this? My advice when buying CC Morgan’s is; Be very cautious! I would not trust most of those you see on EBay, and don’t trust Etsy or Mercari. If I were you and looking at Morgan CCs I would strongly recommend only buying a TPG version . That way you know it’s genuine. I’ll bet you’re right. In 1929 the cent was way more valuable than today and someone decided to make a memento gone wrong.💥

Welcome to the forum. Your coin, although in great condition, would not warrant the grading fees associated with having it encapsulated. The graded coin if graded as a VF would only be worth $25. I would recommend self slabbing it and keeping it. Others may chime in and suggest otherwise. I am not a prolific coin grader and it is just MHO. good luck

Correct hard to imagine an 83 year old coin that has probably been in tens of thousands of hands. The 66 quarter is very unusual to find in change because the automated sorting machines kick them out.
