  1. Sorry I just read your post a little better. I assume this is a 6 step coin then.
  2. I have seen a few here and there on older NGC slabs with an FS designation but no 5 or 6. I need to do a little more research to see what these are. Im curious to know if they are considered a 5 FS or 6 FS? Here is an example.
  3. It looks like the real deal to me. If circulated, I would try to sell raw. Here is a pic out of one of my books for comparison. Nice find.
  4. I found a couple of those too this morning. They were delicious.
  5. Welcome to the forum and back to collecting. If you are interested in accumulating or “stacking” PMs, buying bars of silver or gold may be something you want to think about. You can get them in several different sizes and the bigger you go, the less you will pay overall. You will usually pay less of a premium on bars over coins and get more bang for your buck. You could do a mix of bars and coins if you want to as well. It all depends on weather you are looking more at collecting or investing. Just wanted to throw that out there for you to consider. Whatever you do, I hope you have fun with it.
  6. Always nice to see another nickel collector.
  7. Another nice set. We are going to have to change your name from Crack Master to Mr. Proof. Or we could just use a lot of a.k.a.s
  8. Those are both very nice! Love that color on the 40D. Beautiful coins my friend.
  9. I don’t think being “fussy” is an issue when you are making a purchase. As collectors we always want the best we can get. You had every right to ask for better if they had them. I say kudos, and don’t settle for anything but what you think your hard earned money is worth.
  10. I thank you for the comments. Joes work is top notch. Would love to see your coins sometime.
  11. You did them more than justice my friend, and I am looking forward to seeing the amazing work you will do with the others. I thank you greatly for this opportunity.
  12. They are out there but not easy to find and people usually want an arm and a leg for them. From what I’ve seen, unless the pics are really good, the steps don’t show very well. Probably be better in hand. You have a better chance with the war nickels because they usually struck up pretty good and there are more of them that have been submitted for grading, or pre war nickels. After that they start to go downhill into mushville.
  13. Dang bro you went at it didn’t you! Nice pick ups. You know which one is my favorite. 6FS and everything.
  14. I didn’t even realize that the gold 40 D had that little bit of other toning on the edge to it until I saw those pics.
  15. He does indeed. His pics are nice. I wish I had more than just the 11 done. Can’t wait to get more to him. Thanks again brother. I’d like to have more of those top pops but they tend to be quite expensive.
  16. It is the same icon that would be on an individual coins page in your registry set if your coin was at the top of the population. They are now on the main pages of your sets as well. I think it’s a cool little detail too. Thanks NGC.
  17. Thank you Bob. Good pics make a big difference.
  18. Thanks Woods. Appreciate it. Couldn’t be happier with them.
