  1. I have had my eye on this coin for a while. Some of the best seller pics on the bay in my opinion.
  2. Just picked these up today from one of my favorite sellers. The coins are always better in hand. I have never been disappointed with any purchase from them.
  3. Absolutely beautiful. Looks like she is on fire. Congrats on this one.
  4. One of these days I would like to pick up a set of Ron Landis fantasy nickels done in Felix Schlags original design for the nickel that never made it to production.
  5. That is an empty slot for me as well. I can find a few MS65-5FS coins here and there but I’m trying to hold out for at least a 66FS coin. Hard to find good strikes for this year. NGC has no 6 step coins graded. Good luck on your hunt.
  6. I see a sore neck and tired eyes in your future. Congrats on the new haul.
  7. I knew I recognized that. We had an Aladdins Castle in our mall here in town back in the day.
  8. The Lincoln bust looks like a cross between Ronald McDonnald and Grover from Sesame Street.
  9. As much as it hurt to let that other one go, I think I’m ok with this one. Apparently I am also starting a toner Washington set. I’ll never complete anything.
  10. Just bought another one. Time to put the phone away. The addiction is setting in.
  11. Been a while since my last purchase. 2 newps for the collection. I must have a thing for 1944 Ds. This is #4.
  12. Believe it or not, that 1960 P MS655FS coin has a NGC value of $1800 and the 1960 D at MS67 is $500. I would really go through that roll JP and see if you have anything that looks good.
  13. Yea this thread doesn’t make much sense if you didn’t see the auction. Basically you had a very circulated raw nickel with possible corrosion being labeled as a NGC MS-655FS coin. Clearly it was neither mint state or encapsulated. Maybe the D mint mark was a little off. Starting bid of $500. It needed to be removed.
  14. I don’t have my books with me but I believe they wore out the master hubs during the 60s and they had to be replaced.
  15. Here are my examples of 1960 P MS655FS and a 1960 D MS67 for comparison. Not the greatest looking coins by any means.
  16. Both the Philly and Denver nickels in 1960 were poorly struck as a whole. Good examples are hard to find. Full step coins are very rare. I believe NGC shows only 9 graded FS coins from Philly and 0 from Denver across all grades. I would say your coins are probably UNC.
  17. That GTG would stump everyone for sure. I figured I wouldn’t bid so you could put that one in your type set.
