  1. Been signing me out of the chat boards but not the registry since the maintenance was done. I was also getting a lot of error messages before, but that hasn’t been a problem lately.
  2. Yes the 50s and 60s Jeffs were pretty terrible as a whole. They say the only thing worse than a 61 Nickel from Philly is a 61 Nickel from Denver. This is true in my collection as well. My 61 D is nowhere near this new 61 P. Sometimes things just are what they are.
  3. Thanks. Appreciate it. Jeffs are a good time. We are a bit reversed as I have been picking up some raw unc Lincolns, and I just happened to get a 1920P Lincoln in my change tonight. A little rough but still cool to get stuff like that in change.
  4. They will make a fake one for Etsy. Toss it on the ground, stomp on it a little, call it an error and price it at 2 Trillion.
  5. Been a little while since I have bought anything with some plastic around it.
  6. If you are referring to the “W” on the obverse, that is actually “AAW” and that is the initials of the original designer of the Walking Liberty half dollar (Adolph A. Weinman), which is also the same design on the ASE. It’s not a mintmark.
  7. I have coins that are worse than this one.
  8. I have been on a raw coin kick for a little while now and while I have ended up with a few cleaned coins and some bad buys, I have been having a lot of fun seeing some of these coins in hand and not having to pay an arm and a leg for them.
  9. Here we have the complete opposite of the coin above.
  10. I see at least 4 spots on the reverse alone that are questionable.
  11. It looks very crisp and aside from a few spots, looks very clean. Almost too clean, but I hope this a good problem free coin. If so, it is a very nice looking coin. Good luck. Welcome to the forum by the way.
  12. Here are a few more shots that may or may not help. I can’t get a good angle shot inside the rim. The bottom pic is with the flash on.
  13. No, I wouldn’t dig around in it. It did resemble the bottom left pic from the link. To me, it doesn’t look like extra metal sitting on top of the rim. I could be very wrong. It could be anything or it could be nothing at all. I just thought it was interesting and wanted to know the others thoughts. Thanks all for your input. It is always appreciated.
  14. I’d love to stick an exacto knife in there just to see if it is a cavity or a ridge. It wasn’t listed as an UNC and I didn’t buy it as an UNC, but it is pretty clean. Even has touches of red still.
  15. It doesn't seem like there is extra material there, which was kind of taking me away from a cud. It almost looks like something got underneath the rim and just peeled it back a slight bit. I feel like I could get something underneath the crack and peel it back some more. Not that I would do that of course. I’m still looking at it. Here is a shot of the edge. These pics are not coming out well. I apologize for that.
  16. I’m definitely not saying you are wrong. Im going to try and get a better look and maybe a better shot. I guess this is one of those times I need a scope.
  17. I thought possibly cud at first, but it looks like it is slightly peeled back off the rim.
