I believe I saw somewhere that the Mint was doing some work on the dies to combat this chipping issue on the 2023 coins. A bit of a redesign or retooling with the mouth area. Guess we will see if it works out or not.

I’m not 100% sure with the pics but, it looks possibly plated to me. Could be a legit proof though.

I would say that dime has some heat damage. I’d go with the melted tag.
