  1. Little moments like that is what life's all about aint it my friend.
  2. My little boy got one at Wal Mart a few days ago. He's in the upward bound program at school and they pay him to go to it. He wanted to spend his own money on some hunting accessories. The little fart went through the self check out line right behind me and got it out of the machine in his change. He got pretty excited about it. It was a 2020 Sonoma quarter. It is in pretty good shape also. Its not scratched up very bad at all.
  3. That may not of even been where we was. We probably thought that where we came from. We used to have good times back then. Young and single and half goofy.
  4. I don't remember it. I just remember having a good time. 😆
  5. Same here my friend. Id paid for it also before I married this crazy woman. She's put a scratch or 2 on me over the years. Mean as a rattlesnake.
  6. I also shipped mine in the mint packaging just like I got it from mint. I didn't send my coa in with it. I wrote on 2 small papers the submission form number and line number on each. I taped one to the capsule the coin is in and one to the box the capsule is in. I dont know if they need it on both but I did just for a little insurance.
  7. No problem my friend. The very first time I ever submitted i was completely overwhelmed. You will find it alot easier once you do it a time or two. The address you send it to is a Sarasota Florida address. They will walk you thru it on the online submission. Myself also, I watched a YouTube video on it showing how to do it. Once you get everything all done it will tell you to print it and you keep a copy and send the rest in. If thats how you want to do it. It was the easiest for me.
  8. I can answer a few of your questions. Im still a newbie but I have submitted a few new coins. I submitted mine using the online submission form. I was overwhelmed until I submitted a couple and it gets easier. Once you go thru the steps they will give you the address onto the submission form. Also for the scratch resistant holders I prefer them myself. They regular ones scratch very easy unless you handle them with extreme care. I think its worth the extra money myself. Cant speak for everyone but I will always get it. Also I've learned from hanging around in the chat boards that these technical questions about submission info gets answered better under the ask NGC category. Hope I helped you some my friend. Good luck on your submission. Sorry I couldn't answer all your questions but maybe someone who can will come along shortly. If not ask in the "ask NGC" category.
  9. I've never been to the Beam distillery. I did however get to tour the Jack Daniels factory years ago when I worked in Tennessee. I remember it being a good time.
  10. If your coins are still brand new and have not been out of the original government packaging then they shouldn't need conservation. Im still a newbie but I've submitted a few newer coins with no problem. Maybe some one with more experience will chime in to help. But if you have never opened the plastic capsule they are in then you should be fine
  11. What threw me off was the mint mark. Im still pretty new and wasn't used to seeing them like that. Then RWB posted that link to the different varieties and I saw it on there. I done a bunch of research today and found out why there were so many varieties back in those days. I learned alot about all the different die pairs. There a whole lot out there I never dreamed of. Thank you all for setting me straight.
  12. What got me is it looks like its cut down into the rim of the coin at the top of the picture
  13. Very interesting read RWB. I really enjoy history and those old hand written letters. Thank you very much for posting that.
  14. That food was so good Thursday we went ahead and cooked another turkey and dinner today. Oh boy. I like to eat. Got 2 more pies and all. If anyone lives near the eastern ky area you are more than welcome to stop by and get a bite.
  15. Could be authentic then. I see a vam 6 has a mint mark like that.
  16. Here's the description if you want to look it up. Im not very good at all with technology. Im learning slowly
  17. My wife took a pic of it on my phone and sent it to me. I dont know how to copy links. But I looked up cc morgans and its a ways down the page
  18. I may be wrong but something don't look right to me. Im in no way or form an expert of any kind. But this looks alot different than all the cc's that I've seen. But im fairly new to this.
  19. I just spotted an 1878 cc on Ebay just now that looks like a fake. The cc is way to far apart. And to high. The bid is up to 152 dollars so far. I feel sorry for whoever bout to get burned
  20. Yep. I got 2 draped bust dollars and a 1921 morgan that like to jump onto a magnet. Luckily tho I got mine from a brother in law. Bought his whole collection and it had enough genuine coins to make up for what I paid. He and I both knew they was fake already. He just told me to take those to. I put them up to compare them to other coins if I ever buy any.
  21. Something smells fishy. I seen another post kinda like that earlier on another topic.
