  1. My ears got flat spots on them from my wife twisting them and leading me in the house when she gets mad at me.
  2. Its a pretty color but I personally don't like artificial toning. I guess it would probably fall under that category wouldn't it? It just don't seem right to me to tone one on purpose. But in this case it was accidental I suppose. I love the old natural toned coins though.
  3. Thats what I was thinking. Most the stuff I saw said it takes years. I figured someone may have had it in pocket and lighter fluid or something like that may have got on it. I been sitting and thinking of all kinds of scenarios. Its hard telling what all chemicals could probably cause it. Thank you for your help.
  4. One of my 2019 w quarters started toning rapidly. I got this quarter out of some change last year and it looked normal. I started looking thru some of my coins and noticed it is turning blue and purple. What could it came in contact with that would make it change that quickly. I never exposed it to nothing. I had it in a clean dry place so it must have happened before I got it. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you all for helping me. (Its only on the obverse)
  5. They need to put a hog head on a coin. On the obverse. 😉👍 American Silver Hogheads. That be a series worth collecting.
  6. Im a fairly new collector to. One the cheapest places i found to get coins is eBay. Off certain buyers. I look for ones that have good feedback. I read the reviews. What I've been doing is finding coins I like and then trying to work on a full set of a certain grade or whatever. Im working on a set of 2019 w quarters right now in ms 66. I just completed a set of ms 65. Im on a very tight budget so I can only get about 1 a month or something. But ill also see a different coin I like at a good price and ill go ahead and get it and set it back for a set of its type later to work on. . Ive been reading alot of these very knowledgeable people's post on here and im gonna try to start expanding my searching to different places to purchase from now. Good luck on your collecting my friend. Its easy to get hooked.
  7. I agree with you 100% . Im a new collector and I like buying from the mint because I can get alot of theyre coins at an affordable price. I can't afford the big high end coins. My kids really enjoy alot of the products they offer and its getting them more interested in collecting. We as a family enjoy the innovation dollars and the history lessons that come with them.
  8. Good to meet you my friend. I dont know much about your coin. Im fairly new myself. There will be someone on here before long to help you. There are some very knowledgeable people on here. Blows my mind how much they know. I just wanted to respond and say thank you for your service. I am very grateful to our service men and women.
  9. Looks like damage on the ear. Im just taking a wild guess. To me it dont look like nothing that could have happened while it was being struck. But I've been wrong before. Some of the experts will be on here sooner or later and confirm it for you. Just be patient. They just get on here and help people for fun and a hobby. Sometimes they have other things to do but they will eventually show up. But I don't think its worth nothing. Just damage.
  10. Looks like it just to a hit. Post mint damage. Ill let the experts weigh in on it.
  11. Good luck to you my good friend. I hope you bring in a barrel full of them.
  12. This is the luckiest I've been in 20 years. If I sound a little too excited im sorry. Lol. Im one those people who usually has nothing go right.
  13. It sure is. Were all scoring. I haven't found any all year then finally got 2 in one day. I bought a 10 dollar scratch off yesterday and hit 200 dollars. I may go get a powerball ticket. Lol.
  14. Got 9 rolls. The other 8 rolls didn't have none in them.
  15. Your not gonna believe this my friends. I took my quarters to bank and traded them in. They told me they didn't have no new 2020 rolls. Acted like they didn't want to fool with me. Well I told they I'd take what they had. I found 2 w quarters in 1 roll just now.
  16. Just don't eat it. Lol. I couldn't resist. Just joking around with you my friend. Im usually not one those type of people but the correct term for it is "serial"
  17. Thats awesome. Congrats on your find. Look for them in all the 2019 and 2020 designs.
  18. I was also under age at the time. They wouldn't have gave me none anyways
  19. Yea. I was joking around a little. We were on our way to a job site. We couldn't have tried none if we wanted to. That was back in 2000. I just had graduated high school and never been out of the holler before in my life. I remember it being a good time getting to see it and all the other sight seeing. I can't remember exactly where it was but we also stopped and seen a big cave. I remember we had to take an elevator down into it and it had a great big waterfall down inside of it. It was pretty cool to see.
  20. Myself now, I would have told the old fellow what he had and told him it could be worth a dollar or two. I never did desire trying to crook people. If I ever did it wasn't on purpose. Id a probably offered him a dollar or two for it if he wanted to sell it then it would be up to him. But thats how I was raised. Here where I live out in the country (most of us) around here, try to do people right.
  21. I was wondering where that came from. And that pair of pink flamingo wind spinners.
  22. We don't find very many of them where I live. Every once in a while someone will find one.
