  1. Awsome video Mr Lange. Thank you for sharing it with us. Its very informative.
  2. I agree. And the first release or early release. Its still the same coin as the rest of its same grade.
  3. Thats the way I see them also. Collectable bullion. Got the collectors value but if times ever get bad may have to count on the silver content.
  4. My dad had a belt that had fancy stitches on it. He would wear me out with that thing and it would leave big red fancy whelps and swirl designs all up and down mt legs. Lol. My legs looked like big fancy Corinthian collums or something.
  5. Ill probably read it on kindle also. And i will keep an eye out for someone selling a used one. Wonder why they don't print more of them? Was it a limited edition? Or very costly to make more copies or something? But it seems like a hot item.
  6. Yep. Congratulations on the 70. Mine only graded a PF 69. I got my v75 medal back this morning and it made the 70 grade. I wish the ASE would have been a 70 to match the medal but I'm happy just to have got one.
  7. I've noticed that also. Im really afraid to buy something very high dollar off there with someone with 10 reviews. And 1 of them bad.
  8. Yep. That little scale i have is perfect for weighing coins. Its a Hornady. Its made for weighing gun powder. I use it when I reload shells. It works great if you ever run across any. They come with a calibration weight also and are super simple to calibrate. Its a 2 decimal scale. I was just trying to say if you ever run across one of these they are awsome.
  9. This book is so well written a person could almost mint coins after reading it. If he had all the equipment and materials. Lol. Except for the die engraving. We would have to strike stick men on them or smiley faces if I was the one engraving the dies. I know it would never happen. Im just trying to say how well in depth it describes every detail. Im planning on reading Mr. Lange's book also in the near future that RWB referd to me. What is the name of it again? I'll try to find where to purchase it and maybe sometime try to have him autograph it for me. But I recommend every collector read FMTM. It will give you a whole new respect to collecting the older coins knowing what the workers went thru to mint them. Even the newer coins also. Shows how it all started and advanced over time. Id love to see some of that old equipment in person sometime. Alot of it is probably sitting in a museum somewhere. I know it will never happen but id love to be able to play on it and strike so coins. That would have been a dream job back in those days. I love working on and with equipment and motors and all sorts of things like that. Im sure some of those old timers loved it and some hated it. Id say it probably depends on what you had to do. Some probably worked their fingers off trying to mass produce coins, ingots, etc.. to keep everything running.
  10. I got a scale that I have to recalibrate it bout every 8 or 10 times I use it. Or if it sits for a while. Its came with a little calibration weight.
  11. I bought quite a bit from the mint this year. Got the proof and uncirculated sets. And the SAEs. Got lucky on the V75 SAE and silver medal. I also got all the reverse proof Innovation dollars. And the silver Basketball dollar. I really wanted the silver Mayflower medals but didn't have the money. I found the single one on Ebay for 80.00 a few days after mint sold out. I ended up getting it. Old lady bout skint me over it but I really liked it. I really wanted the 2 coin silver set but didn't have the $ And they are outrageous on Ebay so ill probably have to just pass on that set. I probably got a little to happy this year but I wanted to try and get all the 2020 coins I could. Never know my kids get old they may be able to make a dollar off them due to the coronavirus year. I doubt it tho. But just hopeful wishing.
  12. Be a shame if someone did AT it. Need their hind end wopped with a switch. Also cleaning it. Makes a poor boy want to cry.
  13. I like to play a little nickle, dime, quarter every once in a while. Used to anyways. Used to play all the time. Been a while tho. Just small hand games tho. Dollar limit. Cant afford them 20 dollar bets.
  14. Been nice to have a big hoard of them. Lol. It be hard for me to sell them though. Im a coin hoarder. I dont know tho. Thats alot of money. Be hard to let them go.
  15. I got rained out from work today so I decided to do some more reading. I just got done with the section that talks about the price of proofs in 1859. Its amazing of how low of a price you could get one back then and now they are worth thousands of dollars. A proof double eagle was $20.30 and im afraid to price one as of today. I bet the Mint officials in 1859 never dreamed the collector prices of today. Man if there were only a time machine. Lol.
  16. I noticed that about a seller who was running up bids on his also. People complained about it in the feedback and he admitted to it. Said he was allowed to do that. I didn't think you was allowed. I cant remember his name but if I ever find it ill share it on here.
  17. Congratulations to all the winners. And also a big thank you to ProHaroldHill for the generosity of putting on this contest. Takes a good man to up and give away free prizes like that. This old world needs more people like that in it. Be a whole lot better place.
  18. I thought that cameo was the frostiness look on the devices themselves. I was talking about in the mirror finish in the field how you can see the reflection of the device in it in repetition.
  19. I love that look. I can just sit and look at a coin and look at that for an hr. Turning it and admiring it.
