Today I was at a convience store. The clerk asked me what I thought about a mirror finished nickel circa 1962. I took it from him said it was counterfeit and gave him a regular nickel for it. It’s a proof coin. No doubt.

1976 nickle with the D mint mark close to the date....not much, but it was acquired,lol

So How much leeway should be allowed when selling? What I mean is a bidder wins , but never pays....How long does a seller wait til he is forced to cancel the order because of non payment? I've done this once already , waited 6 business days......Any thoughts??

Oh yeah! Anytime I search a car or truck or in the market for a big ticket item, I check out the forums on that specific item....boatload of knowledge.......steered clear out of a lot of headaches too.

Mine was in a mint set.......but not from the mint........one of those ''Americas most rarest coins'' set.....Yeah i got one,lol flea market for 5 bucks....the other coins look authentic btw.

I'll buy that......not the coin just the reply,lol..( I already spent way too much on silver )..........Now instead of buying I grab a coin roll or 2 from the bank and check 'em out....spare change goes in a bottle.

That being said I have one more reason not to bother........I can only take one coin forum in a lifetime anyways.......

I started collecting coins about the same time you joined the forum.........that being said I'll never feel the way you say you feel about a silver collection.......sure I'll sell 80% of my stuff , in time....but to me it's the nostalgia, the history, the thinking of what the world was like when that coin left the mint.......Thats why I do it.....I'll never tire from it . Not for a long time I gather , while I gather more coins , sell some ....but always, always holding on.......Mod, you should ''hold on'' I while longer......jmho.
