  1. Out of curiosity I want to see what people’s answers are. Also the weakness and scratches on the bottom reverse are in the slab.
  2. I don’t get why NGC would have a picture of the slab. Had someone taken the picture from a previous ad and reported to NGC? Surely if it had went to NGC it wouldn’t have left.
  3. I’m actually very happy I haven’t seen it haha. I hope I never do again.
  4. Ok this is a first. The same seller has a 2014 W burnished gold eagle. When I look up the Cert on NGC it comes up, but says possible counterfeit holder. I’ve never seen the Cert work and it say that.
  5. It sure doesn’t look like it’s uncirculated. The pictures are so awful it’s hard to tell a whole lot. I know some on here are active in reporting this to eBay. I don’t know how to do a whole lot myself, but agree something is up. As you said Cert is invalid. @Just Bob - I know you have reported several in my time here. Any advice for the OP?
  6. I’ve been on a tear lately on the type set. Between clearing out coins I’m selling and buying new it’s keeping me busy for sure. Today a few nickels. I’ve got a few goodies coming this week I’ll share once I get them. I’m so glad I passed on that other type one Buffalo I was debating. I love this one just as much and I got it for a fraction of the other and it’s MS 67+ CAC @Lem E I know which one you like 😂
  7. Welcome Tom! Here is a link to NGC’s grading standards that gives a lot of good information for you. https://www.ngccoin.com/coin-grading/grading-scale/

Feel free to message me for more pictures. 1. 1883-O NGC MS64 $90 2. 1883-O NGC MS62 $70 3. 1902-O NGC MS63 $70 4. 1887 NGC MS62 $70 * I’ve got roughly 60 more graded Morgan’s and several other things on eBay currently. If you are a Morgan Collector let me know I probably have it. Paring way down on Morgans to make room
  9. Price includes shipping and PayPal payment fee. 1. 1900 Morgan Dollar VAM24 Doubled Wing $60 2. 1922 Peace Dollar VAM 12A Moustache Sold
  10. I have the following Morgan’s for sale. Price is shipped and PayPal payment. Feel free to message me for pictures. 1. 1904-O PCGS MS63 $75 2. 1884-O NGC MS64 $85 3. 1888-S PCGS VG10 $100 4. 1879-S PCGS MS63 $80 5. 1894 PCGS VF Detail Cleaned $700
  11. That’s a nice find. The pictures are blurry so I can’t give a ton of info but it looks AU to me. Whatever you don’t clean it. If it’s a Philadelphia (no mint mark) it’s probably a $300-$350 coin once graded. If selling is your goal this one probably makes sense to grade. I can’t see the reverse photo clearly. Is there a mint mark between tail feathers and rim?
  12. Being able to scan the barcode of NGC holders to add them to a set would be really nice. Not that typing it in takes much longer but if you are looking for wish lists it would be nice.
  13. Hahaha. I actually thought of you when I bought it. Nickels baffle me. All of them look highly over graded to me. And this one is questionable 6 FS to be honest. When I get it I’ll show you better pics. I told the guy it was over graded and negotiated it down. Maybe it’s better in hand. 6FS nickels are almost like unicorns. I haven’t found many at all.
  14. Well it was a light meeting day today so I decided to fill some of the minor spots in the type set. The mail man will need over time the next week or so 😂
  15. These are wonderful! Congrats to owner and photographer. I am in need some some boudoir shots of a bunch of coins myself.
  16. Neo if you want it go for it. I prefer business strikes ideally. It’s a beauty.
  17. Are the ones you have marked as “keepers” ones you aren’t getting rid of?
  18. Agree with coinbuf’s suggestion and that this is a looker. Nice find!
  19. I may do that. The coin is at Sarasota Numismatics and I haven’t dealt with them before. I made another decent sized, albeit smaller, purchase there last week. I actually received that coin today. Maybe since I’ve bought recently, negotiate well and most importantly hold my mouth just right they will work with me. The price isn’t bad for a true 66, but it’s more than 65 money. I sincerely appreciate the opinions and advice. Who says numismatics can’t be a team sport?
  20. Today’s arrival for my type set. This is going to be quite the journey for many years, but I am loving it.
  21. I think I’m going to pass. The fact that it has been dipped scares me. And I think Mark’s comments were spot on about a little too much going on with the cheek. I have looked at this coin until my eyes are crossing 🥴
  22. You can still have doubled dies even with the single squeeze method of hubbing. They happen in a different way than the previous method, but they do exist. It’s most often confined to the central area of the design with this method because it is caused because the center of die blank/block is slightly conical before it is pressed to help with metal flow during the hubbing. If the hub/die block are slightly off as the squeeze occurs it finds its center as pressure increases. For this cent however there are no known DDOs. Ynnohj as I’ve suggested in other posts variety vista is one of the first places you should look to see if there is a known variety for the coin of interest.
  23. I’m 38 and resale value is a huge part of my decisions. I look at my collection as a fun way to enjoy them while I’m here, and a good way to leave something to my kid and grandkids when that happens without some of the estate pitfalls. Atleast this way I get to have some fun with it while I’m doing it.
