  1. Agree 100% on this statement. Lighting is critical in any type of photography.
  2. Although their site doesn't specify they do request the use of the proper sized flip. https://www.ngccoin.com/submit/how-to-package/ https://www.ngccoin.com/submit/coins-we-grade/#return-packaging I've sent a dozen or so coins in to be graded and removed them from their non-TPG holders and/or Mint capsules and placed in flips and still getting MS70's on most new coins and expected grading on others. If you use care and gloves when handling you'll be fine (along with proper packing material). As much as it's a pain for us to open the snap lock types imagine if everyone did that to them and they had to do 100's or even 1000's of those daily. hope this helps.
  3. Greets All, I upgraded my Birth year set on this coin and no longer need this beautiful 1959 1C PF 68 RD I have it listed for $40US (NGC has it at $75US) plus shipping. You can either PM here or just follow the link where PP and CCs can be accepted via a secure site. Da Link: https://edgohio.ecrater.com/p/38763419/1959-1c-pf-68-rd ....you may also find additional coins for sale here too ! https://edgohio.ecrater.com/c/448903/collectable-coins
  4. I'm personally not a ebay person but a quick search brought a few sets up. https://www.ebay.com/b/Philadelphia-1997-US-Coin-Mint-Sets/526/bn_112547934 ---------------------------------- Just realized there's a difference between Mint set and Souvenir set
  5. Ooooo...yummy butter ! A very beautiful coin, congrats to the owner !
  6. You are better off asking in the other forum, this is for selling, buying or trade. https://www.ngccoin.com/boards/forum/90-newbie-coin-collecting-questions/
  7. Honestly the "D: in the background appears to be a "S", you can see the curvature of the S below IMO. The upper S appears to have After Mint damage that has distorted it..... ....but I have been wrong before
  8. Thank you, now only if I get lucky when the U.S. Mint releases these. LOL
  9. You know, I watch these conversations about a CAC designations on coins and I understand why people have a desire to submit them to this process because of the "extra POP" a coin may have beyond it's regular grading, toning, nice luster...etc and the "value" of this particular coin is $215@67 but I'm not sure of the true added value of a sticker that's identifies it being extra eye appealing, not too mention a additional fee, since it won't add a + to the 67. Would a CAC validation make it equal to a + or a additional 50% of a + or would it simply have the status of "Extra Neat Coin" ?
  10. I may be a bit of a newb in some regards but I have enough sense not to break open a MY67 hahaha...dunno about the CAC stuff, looks nice as is.
  11. @Hoghead515 careful, they do that on purpose. They put foreign monies out there to ensnare you into collecting other types. I SWEAR....it happened to me !
  12. I like these for the fact they present some facts and reasonings on why a individual has been honored on a coin. I did something for my Cincinnati Mechanics token but not a official TPG thing. I think these could help involve people into collecting as it provides some history and may be enough for them to look into the coin and history of the person. Tis cool !
  13. WoW !, I'm going to break out mine and maybe I can retire earlier. If they get 22k for ms62 my MS67 should be off the charts.
  14. Big SIGH...so I'll need to submit 100+ coins, and a upgraded membership, to get these labels. Once again, the regular collector misses out. Guess I'll just buy one these each and leave it in the Mint packaging, if I get lucky enough to get one from the Mint itself which is a challenge in itself. "These attractive labels are available for bulk submissions of 1921 Morgan and Peace Dollars, and will be offered for the highly anticipated 2021 Morgan and Peace Dollars being released later in the year."
  15. nice looking coin, I'm starting to enjoy coins produced at overseas mints. The style, thankfully, is a nice change from U.S. coinage.
  16. Interesting design....but I'm going to have to side with the Gold piece....The brow and the hard look expression on the gold Eagle really stands out for me. That guy seems to be ummm juicing
  17. @Just Bob Interesting, didn't realize there were "coupon" books for such things and I wonder what 500lbs of ice costed back in the day. Reminds me of my ration cards in the military overseas. ...and perhaps the 1st combination of "Fire and Ice" I've seen in print (coal/ice)....haha
  18. Looks like a 47' to me also. The one big bummer about metal detecting is that with all the fertilizers used nowadays and in the past in the soil, and mother nature herself, can eat a coin up in a short period of time.
  19. I don't have a expansive collection but while updating my Excel file on prices I noticed my 2006 W EAGLE BURNISHED GOLD EAGLE went from $2300 on 4.8.21 to $2775 on 4.14.21. Many of my $100-$500 have for the most part have not changed but this is based on NGC and PCGS data that always isn't current market value. I never base prices on feebay.
  20. I've always liked the Eagles, the strong looking stance they portray Very nice coin you have there.
  21. I really like how a copper cameo pops, you get the real essence of what copper can look like. I bet it looks even better in hand. Great looking coin.
  22. Purchased this 32'-S and a few others raw about a year ago. After staring them down this whole time to determine what I thought was their grades I decided to send in to NGC. I'm happy with the VF grade but bummed it says it was cleaned. I'm going assume chemically(or a buffer of sorts) because I couldn't find any defining marks of cleaning per-say. All were purchased well below their values. This is the cuz'n of a damaged 32-S I asked about 5/6/20 that I also purchased raw. A Peace 34' $1(MS63) and a 1887 Morgan(MS65) were sent in but I'll wait until I get better photo equipment, tired of bad images.
  23. Could it be that the data wasn't available in time for publication ? No baseline value yet due to "newness" other than U.S. Mint cost ?
  24. I have to admit I've never been to a true Coin show, large in person auctions that had coins and currency within them yes. I look forward to actually seeing a raw coin in person, of any value, instead of trusting digital images. I'll probably go broke fast.
  25. just freshening up a bit and removing dust.
