  1. NGC site has a wealth of information on it with a little bit of looking, along with the rest of the internet. I like to open 2 separate windows and do a side by side comparison of coins when in question. If I had to guess I'd say real but in very circulated condition....but please do not take my word I'm a bit of a noob also. https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/world/mexico-estados-unidos-mexicanos-peso-km-453-1910-1914-cuid-1116384-duid-1418369
  2. try a different forum, Newbie section but look here for data for your decision making. https://coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.php?coin=1-cent-1859&years=1-cent-1858-1859
  3. Just wondering what this has to do with world coins, generally non US.
  4. Let me sneak in here with another that arrived today. ....As Tony Montana said "say hello to my little friend" Plz excuse the poor pics...thanks for looking.
  5. Just wanted to pass along to NGC the quick service I received recently. Placed 3 sets of invoices. World Gold(2), Modern(10) and Economy(4) 2/8/21 -2-WORLD - GOLD-Finalized / Imaged / Shipped-2/18/21 ....both received a MS65 2/9/21-10-MODERN-Finalized / Imaged / Shipped-2/23/21 ... 7 out of 10 received MS70 and 3 MS69 2/8/21-4-ECONOMY-Scheduled for Grading(still waiting but still early into process) Thanks for the great turn around !... please pass along to the crew. Ed G.
  6. If you go to this page NGC Cert look up you will see the value of the coin, assuming not a world coin, and you'll get a idea of it's Potential value...this is not set in stone mine you. The NGC site has a lot of great resources if you have a look around.
  7. A pleasant mistake by auctioneer. I've had these for some time now and only got them due to the auctioneer sending me the wrong coin, the 1953 Cinco. I was suppose to get a 1959 coin for my birth year collection. One we squared things up he had me keep the 1953 Cinco and also sent the South Korean BiMetal coin as a "sorry I screwed up up" gift. I actually like them both and the 53' will go nicely with some of the Mexico coins I like now.
  8. I don't think NGC would back a trade between members, it would be a headache. It would have to be the trust system at best. It's not like people would be standing in front of each other and counting down 3...2...1 swap and then seeing what they got.(yes, images would be exchanged 1st on the internet...etc) and I can't see high ticket items being done this way either so perhaps limiting the coin swap/exchange to a numeric value...example ...less than $100 or whatever. Overall ... Trust will be the factor.....but I see it as something that is feasible and I'd participate once things were made clearer.
  9. Thanks for info, Lately when I see the word "Genuine" my eyes glaze over and my mind immediately goes to Details mode due to unfortunate past experiences. LOL
  10. I'm just guessing but the location of the inner ring looks awfully close to the Bi-metal Commemorative coins that S. Korea was offering at times. I have a 2000 won - 2000 Olympic one and it's look to be in the same area but not being able to measure correctly it's a unknown. There is a 1993 with similar inner ring, perhaps test coin or the like....just speculating though. Some samples: https://en.ucoin.net/catalog/?country=south_korea&period=123&type=2
  11. As Fenntucky mentioned, I received a email stated they were shipped and on that invoice was the tracking# (via USPS) and always registered mail, you'll have to sign for it. If you have Informed delivery with USPSs app you can normally see it there also as it makes it's way to you.
  12. If it has the word "genuine" then chances are there is also a "Details" also correct ? If so the TPGs will not give it a grade regarding of the quality of coin due to the fact that's it's been cleaned, enhanced, thumbed...etc. If you have a idea what the grade may be roughly and with a genuine/details label you can reduce the value to 50% or less...trust me on that...got burned a few times myself and people avoid them like the plague which is a shame because some are still nice coins overall.
  13. decided not to contribute. Thanks for setting me straight.
  14. Still a lil' fuzzy, try to avoid using flash on coins. Natural light(cloudy days are great btw) is your best friend if you don't have a ring light or similar. If using auto-focus try using the manual especially if you are going to keep coins in the 2x2 holders.
  15. >some info here<. NGC doesn't always supply $$ data but there are some available <Here> ....and no coin truly sucks...just the images provided sometimes.
  16. actually they sold out in less than 8 minutes, I attempted to get a couple and was all set up and ready to go w/CC on file...what messed me up is I inputted the wrong CC 3 digit and by the time I got my wallet out to look it up and type it in the site was jacked up...by then the system was clogged up and BOOM...All gone. Then I ate my lunch, slightly frustrated LOL
  17. I scanned the barcode and that's the # that came up for -261 ....others thereafter may be a different grade possibly.
  18. You either download the NGC app or follow the link and do it manually. Manually you'll need the grade also which in this case is MS 67. Just change the last 3 digits as you verify each number. https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/
  19. The download request is the PDF file itself, my virus software says it's okie dokie ! The website itself is: https://minterrornews.com
  20. Although I personally think your ASE is 100% legit you can go through the Catalog search https://www.ngccoin.com/coin-explorer/ and view images to help you decide if it's legit or not. I myself am still learning but look at every nook and cranny and compare to samples given both here other top TPGs. If you are able to have the coin/slab in hand look for marks along where the seam is. Don't hesitate to take a pic of the coin w/camera and explode the view to see it better.
  21. According to the bar code it is, you may view info @ https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/ ...also NGC has a very nice app to assist in these matters also, great when viewing auction both live and the internet. A reverse image always helps when asking these questions but from Obverse side you have yourself a very nice ASE. Always a beautiful coin.
