Even that is sometimes debateable. Where do you draw the line between a Brass or Bronze coin.
You need a  XRF test to tell for sure.

3.11g is the target weight on a Lincoln copper cent. There is an acceptable tolerance of  .12 g so anything between 2.99g and 3.23g is acceptable. All of your coins fall within this range.

Greenstang got a reaction from Alex in PA. in What are the most popular or valuable State Quarters?
There were hundreds of millions of each state coin produced so unless they are in high MS condition, they are only worth face value.                                               As far as popularity, it probably depends on which state you live in. I would just keep the best one of each series and spend the rest.
Your 2001D quarter is just badly damaged.

What you are referring to is known as “spooning” but the rims are usually a little more rounded.

Agree, just a dryer coin. See these quite often where people think they are errors.
If you put that dime on top of a regular dime, you will notice that the diameter is slightly smaller which creates the larger rims.
Keep as a novelty coin. I

As mentioned on your other post, please take clear photos of both sides of each coin you are looking to get evaluated  on its on thread. There is no way of telling from the pictures you have posted what you have there. A lot of what I see are only worth face value but there are probably some that will be worth more.

Greenstang got a reaction from UrbanDecay4 in Is this a common occurrence on West Point Quarters?
    That is common MD.
I remember reading on another post that someone did a count and said that over 60% of the quarters that had reverse lettering had MD, so yes, it is common.

If someone offered you $10.00, take it and run.

Greenstang got a reaction from Jfanth in Evaluation Question
That is not an error, that is due to overpolishing of the die. Notice how the roof supports and Lincoln are also mostly missing. If it was grease filled, only the initials would be affected.
This is common on most Memorial Lincolns and adds very little value seeing that they are so common. I think the TPG's have stopped grading them  so you would be wasting your money sending it in..
That article by Mr.Bill is 9 years old .

About the only time a coin is worth getting graded, unless you just want it slabbed for some reason, is if it is worth around $150.00 or more. Silver is always nice because it is always worth the bullion value, no matter the condition.

Don't forget that mm were hand punched up until 1989 so it is possible for some mm's to be punched deeper than others. It looks like on yours that the shoulder of the punch is showing. Maybe the worker felt a little stronger that day.

Your coin is just damaged, known as PMD (Post Minting Damage). It has taken several hits, one of which  bent the rim inward.
In the future, please show both sides of the coin

If you were to learn how coins were minted, you would know that what you have is impossible to have happened during the striking of the coin. There is no way the rim could be bent while struck in collar.

All you had to do is check your picture against an authentic coin and you would see that it is not close to being genuine.
