You are correct in stating everything is PMD, there is nothing there that could happen when the coin was struck.  
Also in the future, please start a new thread for your coins. It gets confusing when there are too many coins posted at once.

Not an error, PMD. The lack of rims and flatness of Washington’s head indicates that it was ground or buffed down.
Still worth 25 cents though.

The coin you show would be from a coin struck shortly after the clash.  I believe the OP's coin was struck after the die was polished and just shows remnants of the original clash. Guess the only way to tell for sure would be to do an overlay which I can' do.
Also I took that photo from my file. I have a file of a couple of hundred photos that I have created over the years for my own use. If there is another Canadian coin you would like to see, I may have a photo of it.

No value in these beyond face.

It is probably a copper cent plated with nickel, hence the attraction to a large magnet.  
If it was a steel coin, a small magnet would attract it plus it would weigh less.
Not unusual to see nickel plated coins. No value but keep it as it is from your grandmother.

Do you realize that it would cost $50 - 60.00 to have graded. 
With the split plating issues, it is worth 1 cent.

That is  what is known as a "Texas Cent" (Everything is bigger in Texas)   
Put the cent between two pieces of leather and pound it.   This will remove the copper plating and enlarge the zinc core.

There is nothing on that coin that can’t be attributed to circulation damage.  
It is only an error if it happens during the actual striking of the coin.

One thing to remember, it might not come back as a MS70. Each grader have their own standards
