Yes it seems everyone was fighting at the same time. If you want to have a few hours of fun search it in the net. It will take two weeks to get your mind back to normal. No kidding I gave up after two weeks and studied history in collece. Have some fun . Mike

what metal is that?
Gilt. I'm sorry.I thought you said medal. It's gilt. Copper mixed with another metal sometimes gold. It depends on what type look there going for. Thanks again. Mike

Hopefully one of the many collectors on this site will recognize it and provide you with some additional information to supplement your own research. Oddly looks like eyes and ears surrounding that sunburst crown on the reverse.
There is clearly allot of history. The problem is all the countries invoked and when Who was ruling at the time it's called the Spanish Netherlands. I have up. Two weeks and fifty sites. Not one describing the token. They had pictures that was it. The map has more colors than a crayon box. . Thanks for your comment. Mike

That is one beautiful token. I don't know how anyone can even begin to grade something that old. Pretty good history already, from you. I'll be watching and waiting for the next journal on this token. Thanks!
Thanks. It will go to NGC but I'm looking to protect it. The other one that is on the site should be grade a MS 64 or higher. Remember it's from the 14th century mine is from the 17th century. As long as my 400 year coin is protected that's what I'm concerned with.. Thank you for you comment. Mike.

I would love to see this. One picture is worth a thousand words.

Personally I stay away from you tube and it's self appointed experts in the field of everything. They just want to make a name for themselves. I did watch some and almost laughed myself to death. To me you tube is a gimmick. Where anyone can become a star overnight.

Hello my friend. You just opened a whole new world with that lens. You will see things you never saw before. It's a great tool for collectors. Enjoy it and let us know some of the things you find. Thanks. Mike

Good journal. I enjoyed it very much. I was at my good friend Peter's house. The place was full. As soon as that foot hit the surface we all stood up and cheered. We didn't realize the tremendous history that just took place and how it would affect us till this day. Thanks. Mike

I actually did get my name on the list. I found out more information which I should of some first . I sent an email and said please remove my name from list. Thank you.Overpriced to many mintages copy. They still make medals at the C C mint . I'm not sure if it's machine number one. There doing this to raise money for the CC museum. Operating cost and up keep. I will not buy into another gimmick. Not for 150.00. The real worth is a couple of bucks. I don't get it. I might just start making coins also. Everyone is doing it. Why? The price of silver. Your better if buying ignots. Or just melting your own thanks for the updates information. Mike

Thanks for your c omment. Yes come machines take dollar bills and good old American quarters. In my neighborhood they take both. . Thanks again. Mike

Thanks for the journal. No one knows what there going to do. Yes they tell us one thing and do the other. I also wish it was L.G.F. design but we're just collectors. Silver the lowest in five years and there still charging prices from when it was 36.00 an ounce. So there you go . They say one thing and do the other. To many gimmicks coming out of our mint. This Price of Two Countries that's more money I will save. For a 69 it's just 200.00 and change. I will never understand the mint. My son collects the A.T.B. He asked me hey dad how come they just can't put six quarters in next year and end the program? I said that would make sense but they will make you wait a year For one coin. He knows Congress passes the law and release dates. But it does make allot of sence. Thanks again I know I touched on a few things but that's what happens when someone brings up the mint sorry about that. By the way the price of the Pride of two Nations hasn't sold out and the price has fallen over 200.00 dollars. No we're not dumb just getting smarter. They can use all the hype they want. But we don't want these. Well some do. And such a low mintage. Gimmick.

Thanks for your comment. I appreciate all. You bring a good point. But I was saying paying out money to people who can find these is out of line in my opinion. It's like another gimmick. It seems interest has died out. This is there answer for us to look for them. I just feel in this hobby it's wrong that all. What next will they come up with. Again thank you very much. Mike

I was watching Rick Tomaska. I don't buy many of his items are out of my budget. However he was selling eight of them . Eight not even the whole series for 2,500 dollars. That has to tell you something. Actually it was more I just rounded it off. He also loves the finish. He knows more than I do. I just know what I like. Burnished I like. Thanks. Mike

That's the funny part. She hates coins!! And who brings home the extra she didn't use but my wife. I check the coins. I have two my friend didn't want one maybe I will have my wife do his wash.!! Haha
-
That's a great answer. I found two my wife brought home after she had money left over from the bank for laundry. I sent one to a friend who has no chance of getting one. He's always been there for me. So that what I did. Your absolutely right. Screw them at P.C.G.S..

And he keeps the coin and the money but how do you really know who's got there first.I think it lowers the hobby and the practice it's very poor. It makes us sound like we should be out there constantly to find coins in the hands of three hundred and fifty Americans. It makes you feel like a scavenger. That's my opinion. Thanks for your comment. Mike.

Well I finally won an auction with a token and the Newman label. They also i included the envelope. It's a Hard Times Token HT 32. It's a MS 64 RB . I checked the pop on it. Three graded MS 64 and only five graded higher. When I saw the token I had been looking for it in a decent shape. It was this and knew it was good. Now they didn't show the label. You click on the token and the information comes up. It was special holder I didn't understand that but in the corner it had Mr. Newman's name. I was shocked when I found out I had won. I now have a Newman Token and I am proud of it. Never thought I would own one. Just plain luck and the winning bid was nice and in my range. People do that all the time at auctions.. I don't I always check. Thanks

The only way you can get one is to buy them. I will not buy something that is free. That makes no sense at all. EBay is overcrowded with Lowell quarters. So far three have been released. Not me. I did get some when my wife went to the bank to get rolls for laundry. She gives me the extras to look throgh. Now I can get out. I'm homebound. Don't you know after a while I had three Lowell. I gave one away. The other two are in flips. To get a whole set would be like the odds of Vegas. If they show up they show up. The program I believe has flopped. You will find them in circulation years from now all beat up. Sorry it could of been done better. People on ebay with boxes of them. Not for me. To those who find them enjoy them because I think the mintage is lower than they said that's my opinion. How long till the last two are released. Another year? It seems that way. Thanks.

I say drop it . Friendship is more important than a label. I contacted Mr. Bowers and told him to drop the issue.. It's a shame when a label can interfere with friends. That should not happen it should never happen it's business not personal. I noticed a mistake and brought it to there attention.. They don't want to carry on any discussion that's fine with me. I thought I was doing the right thing. Just trying to right a wrong. That's all. So I can hold my head up for trying. Sometimes you just can't discuss with city hall. Thanks everyone for there support. But this issue is closed. I hope the other door opens again. Mike.

My friend I have been collecting the set since it started. I love the different look of the Burnished coins. I was waiting for them to appear in 2018 it got to December. I knew the mintage would be low. As you see in the list it is the lowest. Now the problem is what is the mint going to do with the rest they ran out of time to sell . If there released the value will drop. So value being a part of collecting I hope they keep them. Thanks on a great underestimated set of beautiful egles. Mike.

Hi and welcome. I have sets that could go on compatible sets but I chose custom. Any set has the capability of winning but I like to share my good coins before I learned about PCGS being the most liberal graders there are. Very big difference. That's why I stopped. Now the sets I have in NGCI can put into the competitive sets maybe I will. I don't no. It's up to you. Enjoy.

It's a knock off. Is it in many price books?. It can it's run its course. What he's doing is back dooring for-profit . It a joke. So they found a die. Try and sell it Zero. Thats What there worth. In have heard of him and dismissed him as anything but a snake cure specialist. He is now misleading people and laughing all the way to the bank. No one can just got out and make American coinage. Yes he knows the rules and gets around them. Sorry I have to disagree with you . Next there will be a Dansco album for copied coins that's all they are. Mike.

Paying ransom for a Do in makes me feel like someone collecting fans to r recycle. It's cheep and low to the members of this hobby. Collecting has dropped five to six % in the last year. And with there big programs this year I see another drop next year. Thanks.for your comment I appreciate them all. Mike
