I should have quite a few more posts coming as I just worked
out a major purchase of another Half Dollar collection. Different
grades from VF 20 to AU 55.

That's a great looking 1947 Quarter - the reverse toning is as nice as any I have ever seen !! Plus - its my birthyear quarter !!

Question: as one of the "key" Barber dimes, was this upgrade hard to find?
It took a couple of years to locate an AU 58 - and of course, there were two being auctioned with in a couple of weeks of each other. I thought I'd grab the first one that hit the block [ @ Heritage - last night ] as I was able to bid live on their site.
Stack's has another 01-S Dime in PCGS 58 [ nice coin, too ] but I had a bit of a
problem with their Live bidding last time - and didn't want to take a chance.
This 01-S in 58 upgrades the one I took out of the Dansco which graded 53 at PCGS. I now get to crack out the 53 and put it back where it belongs.
