Continuing the set progression...
here's the 1893-P in PCGS 45
-
...and the 1892-S from the newer set...
-
This 1892-O is going in the Dansco...
-
Lets see if this Photobucket link works...
Doesn't look like it does work.
Sorry...
Lets see if my 1892-S opens up here ...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like I'll have to by-pass Photobucket...
Here's the 1892-O in my 2nd set ... PCGS 50
-
I downloaded that image from another forum member - and sent it
to a friend who's a Yankee fan [ he's from NJ & I'm originally from Boston ].
We're meeting at the ANA in Boston this Summer and he said he was going to
wear Yankee T Shirts the whole time he was in Boston...I told him that'd be a big
mistake. Then I told him he'd be viewed like that little guy.

I just discovered that Photobucket is the one with the issues ... seems as though
alot of people are having problems downloading images.
Later - and you don't need to try and resize anything - I'll handle it later - but -
thanks for trying.

About six weeks ago, I added another set of Halves. This collection was
from a vest pocket dealer from Baton Rouge and called the Red Stick Collection. I have changed its name to the Elbesaar Collection and have merged these coins with another set I was working on.
Here is the first coin from that newer set:
Sorry for the small images - I've been having issues with Photobucket.
Here's the 1892-P - VF 20...

I have seen some nice proof sets in my day
but I have never had the opportunity to examine
one as nice as yours. [ 1866 ]
Fantastic - just fantastic.

Change out the date...

Traded in some duplicates and this
sweetheart is on its way to me now:
-
I've been looking for a nice upgrade for my 1895-S.
Here she is...
-
I picked up three Barbers - and posted them on the Barber Thread.
Some nice coins, if I do say so myself.
I have put together a few sets of IHC's in my day - and most recently
finished an AU 55-58 set.
One of the things that has always caught my attention is
finding the oddity IHC. I have a few interesting Double Struck
coins and today I won these two very interesting - and choice
IHC's:
1895 - NGC 58 - Tripple Struck:
1898 - NGC 40 - Tripple Struck - Rotated Collar:
I have a few more bids in on a couple more IHC's errors...
EDIT TO ADD:
I won the five other lots I was bidding on.
1891 PCGS 62 Broadstruck -
1893 NGC 58 Double Struck:
1895 PCGS 40 Double Struck and Off Center:
1897 NGC 40 Double Struck:
1898 PCGS 63 Off Center:

Coindude- Yes, I have to agree - it is very interesting. I'd love to examine it
for a few minutes in hand - but won't pay $8600++ to own it.
I picked up a few odds and ends at Long Beach - just a few Barbers:
Although I have another 1898-S in PCGS 64 - its in my Date Set.
Here is another for the Dime collection:
-
Its easier for me to copy and paste it.
-
Did anyone notice the 1912-D Half in a NGC holder
that is on Heritage's Long Beach sale ?
Its an error - and its struck on a 1902 Half;
you can see the underdate - and the Portriat
is doubled...and the reverse stars look like a
constellation. Just an amazing coin.
Obviously an intentional error - by some
mint worker [ I use to call these persons
"midnight maurauders "...]
Check it out - I have never seen its like before !!
Looks like it did not hit the Reserve. Its available at
Heritage for $8,625 on a BIN. Does not have a Best Offer
button to push.

1894....
My newp:
-
New addition to the 1894 Proof set...
-
I've been working on 1891 Mint and Proof Set(s).
Here's the newp for the Mint Set...
-
Got a few grades back from PCGS yesterday
and I'll be adding a few Halves to the 1st and 2nd sets.
I submitted some raw coins while I was at FUN
and I got these grades:
1898-P - XF 45 - for the Elbesaar 2nd Set
1902-P - AU 58 - for the 1st tier set
1903-S - XF 45 - 2nd set
1909-O - AU 58 - 2nd set
Once the coins are in hand - I'll have them imaged.
I have a large submission ready to go to the photographers
- mostly Halves - plus some newps from FUN.
In about a month, I'll start adding some images to this Thread.
