I agree to a point, it's NGC's registry and they could do what they want. I would have preferred a middle ground solution with PCGS slabs allowed but with zero points, that way those like BillJones and I that just collect coins, could have a central place to display our collection. I suppose that could still be done with a custom set, but that just makes us feel like second class citizens, since my bust half collection wouldn't be seen with all the other bust half sets, or Morgan dollars or whatever you collect.

Nice busties and double eagles!

Nice to see the experimental edge on that 1831 and that 1811 is just cool!

Definitely 18.. I zoomed in as far as I could, but could not see anything. Very interesting.
Well, having looked at it in hand, I can see 181, so it's either 1815, 1818 or 1819, so to be safe I just assume it's the most common which is an 1818. Not sure if there are any Bust quarter folks that might offer any clues based on the reverse which has a bit more detail than the obverse.

That's a swell 1916 SLQ! I got this one in the mail today, for once I didn't have this die marriage already, it's an O-115, R3 graded VF-35 by PCGS. Still has some nice luster remaining in the protected areas and some really neat die cracks on the reverse, including one through "MERICA" that leaves a lump protruding from the R.

I would guess it's an AU-58.

I would tend to agree, but believe it or not, NGC graded it AU55. If it goes up just one grade that doubles its value. Might resubmit it, but I'm not sure. I'm new to the slabbing concept.
I was going to guess it was a 58 based on the photos, they just make the coin look just a bit circulated.

Well, although I was in high school in 1985, I never heard the term sawbuck for that, I did hear another term for it, but to my knowledge it's always been a $10 bill (though still an addition no doubt!)

I'm not much for bragging and despite the low mintage, this one is only an R.2, so not particularly rare!

I got this one at a local coin show today, a nice XF example of the O-121a.
