How can anyone give an opinion from images like those? It's a waste of your time.

It's a big issue for me. I let it go for too many years. As I got started selling, I learned just how much time it was going to take. With each coin you have to decide the best way to sell it. That involves many things. TPGs, variety attribution, CAC, conservation, auction to use, current value, shipping and much thought on what's best for each coin.

CT is healthy with about 68,000 members but I'm sure only a fraction of those members are active.

I have owned them for about 30 something years. I'm still at FUN and can't get to my records but I don't have that much in them. I didn't see the print when it went to PCI. It started to show over the years. The spots on the 1914 were very minor when I bought it. They grew much darker over the years. I'll probably send them to auction with the rest of my set of matte proofs. Thanks all for confirming my thoughts. I'll just save the conservation fees and let someone else deal with it.

I don't know what you confirmed but it did not involve me. I did report someone a while back but that was a member that could not post without using four letter words. The few times I have had a problem with someone, I post it for all to see. We have had words but I believe we are past that. I was looking forward to seeing you at FUN and shake hands. As far as CT, I was in the hospital for two weeks when all that went down. When I was able to log in, the post/threads were already removed and never learned the truth of what went on. I was actually glad I had no part of it. It must have been nasty because nobody wished to talk about it.

I don't care if he stays or not but he harassed the hell out of me and for no reason. He ran several of my friends away and thought it was funny. These were valuable people in the hobby that don't put up with this type of stuff. They just say nothing and leave and don't come back. I could make a list but I won't. There are other sites that are more friendly where they can share and not deal with the drama. I'm sorry if some don't agree with me but I'm good with that. I spent a lot of time trying to bring some folks back here but just gave up trying. I don't use the ignore button and just don't read much from those that are known to create drama that is harmful to this site. I love this site and won't leave over those that show no respect for the value of the site.

I'm not sure that NCS would even touch these. I don't see many good results with prints and spots on copper.

This one is not very common but it would be worth more without the wood-grain look. Most folks want nice color on matte proofs.
