  1. I think the Op is just upset that nobody believes him and that's understandable. He knows nothing about the members here or their skills. He is new to the hobby and knows just enough to start making stupid costly mistakes. Everyone goes thru that stage. There are many members in this thread that have learned over a lifetime of study and much of that was before there was even an internet. This is a giant hobby with thousands of directions a person can go. In my opinion, learning to grade is the number one most important thing. Without that skill, many mistakes will be made. Even with good grading skills, mistakes will be made.
  2. Longer than you have been alive. None of the coins you have posted are proofs. Hope you learn more before spending any more money on coins.
  3. Don't know if it's real but the cover made me laugh.

  5. You never know what the proofs will look like in these little boxes. They can be really pretty or really ugly. I have seen some nice cameo coins in these boxes. As a normal, these sets are worth more in the sealed box. Be careful on these. People have been known to open and reseal the boxes. Sometimes the staple has rusted and has harmed the coins.
  6. Open your mind. The coin was plated at some point over the last 80 years. You have been told the truth. Learn from it.
  7. I don't trust a word the OP has to say. He has shown that to me.
  8. That's my opinion as well. If the coins are happy, the way they are, don't mess with them. No need to expose the coins surfaces to anything new. At the same time, coins of high value don't belong in 2X2 cardboard holders. They may be worth the cost of grading.
  9. Buy them raw and send in for grading. With your skills, you should do great.
  10. It's not a Wheat Cent or a doubled die of any kind.
  11. The US mint never made a 1943 Cent that was coated/plated with copper or bronze. I don't think NGC will even put the coin in a holder. If they do it will call the coin Details altered surfaces. This coin was plated after it left the mint. They can be bought for about a dollar.
  12. Threatening others is not something that can be ignored. All of the coin forums will ban you for it. Try it with a cop and see how fast they hook you up and take you to jail. It's a crime and should be treated as such.
