Do you feel better after venting your frustration in three different threads?

No. The further removed from hard times like the Great Depression a generation is, the less prepared (or concerned) they seem to be for hard times. Those of us whose grandparents and parents grew up having to struggle just to get by tend to think more like the ant.
 

Looks to me as if the "pros" far outweigh the "cons." I wouldn't give that extra few dollars another thought.

Yeah, that same thing happened to me a while back. Made an offer about 5 dollars below the selling price - which was around 50 bucks - and the seller countered with an offer less than a dollar below the original price.

I have a slightly different definition. Years ago, a popular way to store a coin collection was in a cabinet with segmented drawers that were lined with felt. Opening and closing the drawers caused the coins within to slide back and forth, causing ever-so-slight wear on whichever side was on the bottom.

That is the important thing.

Seriously, there will be plenty of time later on to teach him proper care and handling. For now, he is having fun with his "monies," and this is a great time not only for bonding with Dad, but also for teaching a multitude of subjects: addition, subtraction, geometry, balance/center of gravity, and many others. You can teach him how to spin them, stack them, and flip them.You can let him pretend to buy something from your "store,"and teach him to make change. The possibilities are limitless. Have fun while he is still young. They grow up WAY to quickly.

If I may go back to subject of the original post:
I wish you and your wife the best of luck with your pregnancy, and upcoming birth. The most important thing is the health of your wife and new child, and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
