This coin is dated AD 37-44 and is from the Judea. King Agrippa followed the custom of his people, no bust on the coin. Hebrew teaching forbid graven images. Canopy (tasseled) was used in royal processions. Agrippa served under Claudius. He is noted in Acts 26:28.

Dated 4 BC-AD6 and is Herod Archelaus. The obverse is a bunch of grapes on vine with small leaf on left; reverse is a soldier's Roman helmet with cheek straps. He is references in Matthew 2:22 as the Judean King during the childhood of Jesus. Archelaus' father killed all Jewish infant boys of 2 years and younger in Bethlehem; this same man also slaughtered Archelaus' siblings and his grandmother.

Bought this at the same time as my newest US coin addition.  Like that this coin is largely bought for the now defunct Blanchard holder.  But I also really like this design and almost pulled the trigger on a similar silver coin last year.   My patience was rewarded with this gold coin.
