  1. Dated 4 BC-AD6 and is Herod Archelaus. The obverse is a bunch of grapes on vine with small leaf on left; reverse is a soldier's Roman helmet with cheek straps. He is references in Matthew 2:22 as the Judean King during the childhood of Jesus. Archelaus' father killed all Jewish infant boys of 2 years and younger in Bethlehem; this same man also slaughtered Archelaus' siblings and his grandmother.
  2. This coin is dated AD 37-44 and is from the Judea. King Agrippa followed the custom of his people, no bust on the coin. Hebrew teaching forbid graven images. Canopy (tasseled) was used in royal processions. Agrippa served under Claudius. He is noted in Acts 26:28. 28 Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?”
