Here's one that I have had for a few years and never took pictures of before. I had two grandparents born in 1900, one on each side. :)

It's in an old NGC fatty slab graded MS62. The luster is a bit dull, especially on the reverse, and that's likely what limited the grade.

I don't know why the Barber series came under such harsh criticism in 1892 and beyond. Miss Liberty was dissed and the eagle barbarque'd. Personally, I've always liked the design and I also think that the coins take wear gracefully.

Here's my former NGC PR65 (Now - PCGS PR64 Cameo)

That's Liberty's effigy? :o

I always thought it was Charles Barber's self-portrait!

Splendid coins everyone.

lol about Charles Barber's self portrait...

I've always admired the design since I was a little kid

and it was the most striking coin [ 1892 Half ] that my

Grandfather had put aside.

As this series has had the most concentration of my efforts

I have quite a few to post. Hope a few more collectors - dealers too -

post what they have in their collection - whether or not the coin be in a Type

Set of just an odd coin that they own.

Continuing on with 1898 Barbers - here's another one

that I'm very proud of:

Thanks Bob !

Staying with 1898 -

here's the closest thing I have ever found

of the 1898-O Micro O.

Its not designated as such, but, compared

to all the other 1898-O's I have - or - have seen
