Here is a 1939 D with the reverse of a 1938. I want to thank Woody for finding this for me amongst my Jeffersons.
Thanks Woody,

Tom,
Exceptional coin you acquired. Congratulations.

I originally posted this in the World Coins Forum yesterday thinking it was an early British coin. It was suggested by a fellow member that it may in fact be either a Connecticut or Vermont Copper of the 1785-88 timeframe since the top (reverse) legend looks to start with an capital "I," wheras the bottom (obverse) legend seems to start with an A. The legend on the reverse I believe is "INDE ET LIB". Apparently the obverse would read either "AUCTORI CONNEC" or "AUCTORI VERMON" depending on the state, but I can not make it out.
I picked this up at an auction yesterday.
Thanks,

Sy,
Another nice looking toned coin. How much does the color vary when rotating/tilting the coin. The reverse is so subtle yet expressive. Very nice.

Here is another Jefferson, a coin that for some reason I feel does not get enough attention.

Irvin,
Does that Franklin show some Relief or what? Nice looking coin.
Wayne - Nice Shield, lots going on with it.
Here is my latest compliments of Lee. Unfortunately my pics are not as good as his were of this coin, it is actually more colorful with blues, etc.
Thanks Lee,

An oddly toned 43 Jefferson (and unfortunately some env. damage perhaps)

Nice set there, and yes try the felt, I was amazed. The proofs were driving me nuts. But with those that are not cameos which will catch the light it may not work.

Bobby,
Yes the pictures are all mine. Bought a newer digital camera awhile back, it can't compete with very nice professional cameras but it works for my purposes. On the Proofs I finally figured out a way to photo them, they were driving me crazy. I took a piece of black felt and cut a hole the size of the camera lens in it and drape the felt over the rest of the camera and my hands. No more reflection and thus the black fields.

I found a new way to photograph these strong proof coins so I wanted to post new obverse and reverse of the 2006 Canadian Dollar which was part of the recent new set I acquired. Much better images.

I knew that, just not typing what I am thinking or vica versa.

Ah, Les Paul, the old reliable. Nice one Bobby.
Question - How extensive is the minting and geographic variety of these?

The 2006 Canadian Proof Set I recently purchased (at an unbelievably low cost) finally came. I am not very good at taking pictures of proofs, let alone eight at once as seen below. Any marks or scratches in the images are on the case. These coins are really beautiful...

Yarm,
Another nice piece you have posted. I wish I had more medals/tokens etc. but I do not. However I want to let you know that as a result of these recent posts from you and others, I have a new respected view of these type pieces and will be expanding my collection of these.
Thanks for the images and keep them coming.
