Several months ago I posted this coin which my father in law had in a belt buckle for many years. I brought home a bunch of his coins to look at one weekend and low and behold this one was a "Hot Lips". I offered to buy it from him but he just kind of brushed it off. Well this was my thanksgiving gift from him today to me.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

Jackson,
As a side note to your question on Cuban Coins, the recent edition of Worldwide Coins mentions that since North American Coins are popular with American Collectors, and with millions of Americans of Cuban decent, some of these coins may be considered sleepers. Based on what happened to German and Russian coin prices after the fall of the Berlin Wall, world coin collectors can expect the coinage of Cuba will increase in value if Cuba is no longer a Communist state.

Silver. Got it off Ebay for a very reasonable price, just kept watching and waiting.
Irvin, yes as far as I know it is the first US "coin" to depict trains in the design.

Not to be a stick in the mud or anything but to coninue a coin should be either the same type or date, not necessarily denomination. Here is one of my favorite Kennedy Halves just due to the way the images came out with a goldish tone. Not true to the coin in hand but nice to look at.
Respectfully submitted,

Jackson,
A real nice looking coin there. I have bought several cuban coins but have always purchased here in the US, so I am not sure about the pros and cons or legalities of purchasing outside of the US such as directly from Cuba.
As a side not, I like your nautical series, much like my railway/railroad series. I will see what I have in my collection that may peak your interest.
PM me lets talk.

Nothing really spectacular but a nice addition to my sets. A 2007 S Utah State 25 Cent PF 70 Ultra Cameo. Acquired because of the Trains on the reverse.
