I love Buffalo Nickels. I thought this was pretty neat to have gotten back in change and especially being in pretty good shape for an old circulated Buffalo. I think it would grade in the G range though (no, I'm not submitting it). Oh well....no big deal, just a really nice piece of pocket change that's still worth around $5 +/- bucks. Just thought I'd share with you all.
A pack of Wrigley’s chewing gum back in the 20’s would have cost you that nickel. 🤔

My choice would be "C" because it is either a rotated die or an offset strike or both?

I find it amazing you picked an S out of the album toning.

Merry Christas, Everyone. I hope everyone had a great holiday.
@R__Rash I like the crusty album toning on "C", and the bands on "B". "A" has a cool character, too!
If you could pick one, which would it be?

There are a lot of counterfeiters out there nowadays. what better place to come to than a coin Forum website To learn how to do things they even counterfeit labels so I just try not to make it too easy for them to do copies not that I think they're gonna do copies of my cheap coins L o l But maybe it'll slow them down a little bit.
Thanks, there are probably more than we can imagine. 👍

I actually have all the coins but the 44s and a 45s need to be NGC or PCGS to complete my registry which I hope to have before the end of the year. My set is MS 64,65 and 66 and for some reason NGC is asking for a 1943 over 42 which to me is asking for a error coin to complete the registry set.? That particular coin is a $400 coin in MS 64 so I guess I will never be completing the set seeing I am way to cheap to pay that price for a Nickel
Very nice, I am curious to why the marked out number/code, I know it’s so no one can see it but what has transpired to create the necessity. Some do some don’t. Thanks

Now if someone could pound this into that bodoh (i-d-i-o-t in what I theorize is his native tongue) Researchcoins' head about his 1967 half dollar, we'd be getting somewhere.
Maybe one in the same? I’m new here but as an apprentice I do recognize similarities in the accent of literary content.

That the same four-letter word my wife used and she didn't even know what she was looking at. I like it because it evokes the Revolutions in Europe. In addition, the American flag had 30 stars... a nice piece of period history.
I collect what I call war sets, I was thinking along the lines of the end of the Mexican/American war.

I’ve been looking through these pages for the last couple of hours. Excellent post! I thought I’d share (2nd attempt) a coin from a set I call my rescue set. Coins that I have found that I feel no one else would want. I showed this to my son when I found it and he said, “ now that’s where the expression PRETTY ugly comes from”.

Sad but true, what the mint considers art today is more like clip art. Only every once and awhile will the mint break that mold and produce an eye appealing coin, but those are usually only for some type of commemorative coin rather than any coins for circulation.
Artist sculpturing by the minter’s creed, slowly have become a dying breed.

It almost seems deliberate, like someone decided that it was easier to let it go and say it is suppose to be framing or highlighting for the new era of coin minting?

Hey buddy working late or ,like me, can’t sleep.
As for the quality issues. I’m in the mountains of Colorado so I see a lot of Denver coins and since 2019 (I think ) the coins have been higher quality than the Philly offerings. They have had a run of PL’s. Time for the late night western. 😉🙀I don’t know if there is still any mint quality control, if it’s me, my new 2.50’s. My oxygen level or the Coors I keep my liquids up with ( Dr’s orders) but something’s gotta be done to quit finding these in with the Pennie’s? 🤔

I think that's one of those "inside the house" wreaths.
Hoghead actually inspired the idea, with first post discussing his new Christmas GW. I just happened to have that page of 64’s close and borrowed the wreath from the Mrs. It sat on the piano for a while then she wanted her wreath back. Go figure, lol..🤔

Hmm... something about the "3."
I don’t have macro ability, and was trying to get as good a focus as I could, due to what I thought was md or dd that I can see with a magnifier. But I am not able at this time to accomplish that with the equipment at hand.

Did you check out “verify ngc certification” in the resources. I could be mistaken but there should be a picture in there of the coin that was certified with that number.
