  1. Something got on it or a speck of something got in the the molten metal before it was even born after time it shows up.
  2. It is always nice to find a old coin in change..
  3. I have some nickels in my collection that in my opinion are not FS yet are graded as such. Perhaps they were part of a big package and slipped by. Maybe a early Monday or late Friday grade
  4. Hi Jessie, Are these coins you are considering selling or grading ? You may want to take some cropped shots and post them individually for us to get a better look .
  5. It is most likely a scratch, A die crack or a gouge like that would be a hum dinger. Is the metal raised?
  6. Welcome, It is a die chip on George. Most of the ones out there will not make the coin worth any more money. You can still save it if you like it is a good one
  7. I have found some FS coins roll hunting but nothing I would send in so far. I have a few nice raw 1960's Nickels but the FS is not a easy find for any year.
  8. It is a nice coin 65 or 66 looking to me. Almost all the GSA coins have some kind of marks or dirt on them, I think they were all bank bag coins mostly.
  9. Thanks guys, It is a nice. Not a FS coin but any 60's Nickel is a tough find in FS or 66 and up.
  10. It is Jimbo It is listed as, JP's Morgan's it is not a very low number on the list 509 but I think It is good enough for the prices I got them for .
  11. Yes I am trying to go for one of every year MS. Two of the years 1878 and 1900 I bought VAM's because they were both top 100 and I wanted them just for that reason. It also breaks up the set nicely having a couple lower grade coins
  12. I was kind of joking on the tone seeing it is ever so slight .I do have a few toned Morgan's, though not many Jo. I still need the 1891-1895. I may be able to get the 91 for a reasonable price and maybe even the 92 but the 3-4 and 5 are never cheap in MS. I may have to shop for a while to find those in my budget or buy ungraded and send them in to NGC to save a dollar or two.
  13. I did picked up another Morgan for the Registry set Sunday.. It's a little dirty on the rim... they call it toned ?? but the price was right........... Now only 5 of the big ones left
  14. Ya I got lucky on this one. Like JT2 said some are crazy. It's hard to believe this is listed at NGC for a high price. It will give me a nice point boost in my registry set.
  15. Well we try to help when we can? and you did say it also had some stains and that is also PMD.
  16. Well I don't think any of the Half's show any leg on the R with all that hair in the way. The coin you posted has seen better days, lots of PMD to look at LoL
  17. I have not had to many deals in the last couple of weeks. It seams all the auction deals are getting harder to come by, but I did get a sweet pick up last night for $29 that makes me happy.
  18. Well that was fun RWB, We are all to blame seeing the first rule is to show both sides of the coin, and we let that pass because it was posted by someone we know.
  19. Other than the stuff that has been mentioned by others, I see a bit of reeding showing on the rim also the strike is a tiny bit off center and that throws everything out of whack So It may be considered a DDR variety.
  20. It could be but it looks like PMD to me the coin may be bent from a hit on the obverse and the reverse is higher so it wares more.
  21. You were lucky to find even one. I have searched many more rolls' to fine none
  22. A rolled edge like it has been around a long time? Some extra metal you could sand it off if it bothers you. Not really a collectable item in my book. but if you like it keep it.
