  1. I added another 15 reds to the book today. Another 23 more to go. This book is a little more detailed, in that it has holes for all the 82 type cents.
  2. Oh sorry Rick, I must of confused you with someone else. I spent many a year as a GC myself ..I am all set with mint sets.. LoL.. but thanks
  3. I worked on it a bit tonight. A few more to go and it will be done. Maybe in the morning I will fill some more holes
  4. I got a few through some local dealers but the rest at GC. I just had to be patient and search a lot then be in the right place at the right time. And yes still looking for the 90's
  5. Just for fun I have been saving reds cents for a while when ever I see them hunting my rolls. Last year I found a old display at a yard sale for $3 from the 70's that had almost all the years and mints in nice PVC holders { LoL}. The coins were in good shape but the display was junk. So being the dead of winter and cold where it is suppose to be warm I thought I would start this project up and fill a new book with old stuff.
  6. I used to get my average MS Morgan's for 30 to 50% of retail but in the last year or so it has been a lot harder to find them at that price. Now if you can get one from 60 to 80% you are doing real good.
  7. I would think you may be able to make some money having a store front Rick ? Even $5 would be something most would pay rather than breaking them up for face value. I like the older sets that had the plastic display case. Not so much the new ones just in the slab.
  8. I did see that, it looks like a hit to me. That is a high spot on the coin so it has a better chance to have a mark or a scratch
  9. Almost every design in the 2009 has some small flaw. I think only a few are collectable or even worth grading. Unless of course you go to the Bait click channels. There is always a collectable to bark about on those.
  10. I found this proof in the change jug. Too bad it has been kicking around for a while. I will have to grade it a XF45 PR. There are to many nicks and scratches to be AU
  11. It looks like a normal circulated cent to me, Where is the strike through Mrph12?
  12. Welcome to the forum. Errorboy..........Looks like Lincoln took a good hit on the nose and eyebrow. That is all I can say with out a better photo.
  13. Welcome Seamus8,,,There are also coins struck from worn Die's that make a coin look old even before it leaves the mint which my be the case on that 72.
  14. Thanks Guys, it has been a good year
  15. Here ya go, I found this in the change jug this morning. Not in to very good condition but still kind of a fun find.
  16. So are you saying you do not believe it is the real deal also Topcoin1?
  17. Yes it is $1100. I never see any GSA coins going for that price they always bid out way to high.
  18. Yes Bill, you and everyone here Have a Merry Christmas, and stay warm the next few days.
  19. Well I made my goal to get into the NGC top 50 for 2022 with my JP,s Nickel Set . I had to wait a few days for confirmation on the sale of this coin from another collectors collection. Today I was able to add this 1961 D to my set at 1886 points and that put me at #47. Everyone here has been very supportive of my collections this year and I wanted to say thanks to you all. Maybe 2023 will get me to the top 20
  20. Oh ,sorry I was thinking the same painted coin. I would say if it is raised it was a big gouge or void in the die, or it is a piece of displaced metal that has attached itself or pressed into the coin over the years.
  21. Everyone is trying to help but you only gave us half the information. A straight grade was said. You also said........So let me understand correct a coin graded from ngc as mint error pf67 Struck thru is nothing more then corrosion and damage ok got it thanks for all the help you guys are great Now it is a error coin ? Almost everyone said it is corrosion from whatever is on or in the coin. We can not say what it is, only what has happened to it. I am not sure what you would like from us. You say we are wasting your time? I think it is the other way around.
