  1. I find only certain year ungraded and MS graded ASE's sell above spot. For the most part if you take any year ungraded ASE to a dealer you will only be offered spot price.
  2. Yes it looks like a WAM but Greenstang is correct we need better shots for sure.
  3. Sounds like you got your money back already.
  4. The best option for taking pictures with your phone is a silver or white background. Put your phone on something steady and flat so the shot is straight, far enough away so you get good focus and shoot. then take the shot and crop it to fit with as little border as posable. then post it that way Halbrook.
  5. Gee Mike you are a real downer first thing in the morning. I am not saying you are wrong but. The pictures of the coins Halbrook posted are all on an angle and not very good close ups. I think instead of busting bubbles you could ask for better pictures first.
  6. This is also from the same roll today. Wow
  7. I have not seen many of these roll hunting in the last year or two. It is not in bad shape for its age.
  8. It is hard to see. If it is a raised line, I would say yes it is a nice crack. There are some who would pay a marginal price for a coin like that. I checked here. Bisecting Rim to Rim Die Cracks on U. S. Coins : Cuds on Coins (cuds-on-coins.com) to see if that is in the list but did not see it.
  9. Na, I don't think any pictures will help this coin more. It is a spender
  10. The shop was actually in Charlott NC It was cool my kind of coin shop it had a main entrance for two stores. Go left and you had all kinds of coins and extras, go right and you had all kinds of guns and extras. Not too much shop lifting in that store. The south is so cool not a lot of BS.
  11. In the coin folder it looks like many of my other coins. It does look a little frosty, but I picket this coin up at a shop in SC. as a BU coin. I would think it was just a regular strike. People do make mistakes.
  12. So, you have a half dozen members with a combined total of more than 200 years of experience saying it looks like glue residue. It would be an easy way to find out just by removing the coin from the holder and soaking it in some acetone to see if the glue comes off. Many collectors in the past would tape their coins into folders or cardboard for displays it was very common. No one is trying to be disrespectful here we are just giving you honest answers. I can see you have been a member since 2018 you must have seen some of the coins posted here with the same characteristics as your coin in the forum.
  13. Is it just more gimmicks to sell slabbed coins. I don't understand. Verify NGC Certification | NGC (ngccoin.com)
  14. I had to post this label. Does anyone know what this label has to do with a 1942 proof nickel?
  15. Thanks Coinbuf, I was not quite sure what was being implied. I don't think Dave is aware we are just collectors on a chat board and have nothing to-do with, this web sites goings on.
  16. Welcome Dave, this post would be better served in the coin marketplace like you indicated in your post. I agree a smart phone does not work as easy as a PC on this site. My only other question is who or what is the ADA?
  17. It is sad to see this nice coin got the ax from an uneducated wipe.
  18. It looks like aftermarket holder? It does look like scotch tape residue on the coin
  19. This was in a roll of nickels today. The same size coin just a different color. The rolling machine only goes by the coin size not the color or origin of the coin.
  20. You can't quit now. I want pictures of this Red Rooster when it comes in.
  21. I understand your doubts Henri. I thank you for the compliment on the photos. I wanted everyone to see the metal inside the void. Not everyone looks at coins the way numismatics do. This coin could have been in a change jar for 50 years. If it will help put your mind at ease, Old Hoopster and I talked about this coin and he agreed, it would be very difficult for any tool to make this kind of void. He was the one who gave me this reference. Fissures: Ragged & Smooth (error-ref.com)
  22. I may some day. I don't think NGC would put it in a holder, but I think ANACS may slab this error
  23. We see so many coins that people want to call error coins. Well, most are not errors, just damage. I personally roll hunt all the time looking for coins to fill coin folders and because I enjoy it. Over the years I have found some very cool coins but no coins that the so called click bait sites say are everywhere to be found. In reality in 60 years, there may be five variety coins that I have found in change or rolls that are barely worth keeping. I have some nice shots for you to look at, this is what I call an error coin. Here is a link to this type of coin. Fissures: Ragged & Smooth (error-ref.com)
  24. Every way I look at this one I see 6 steps. But it also looks like a proof so it could have whatever you want, and it does not matter. There are no FS designations for proof coins. If it is a SP coin, then the FS designation counts
