  1. Thank you for the update. I would leave it in that holder if it was my coin.
  2. Nice find, that is a real treat to see around here. We get so many DD coins posted that are not even close to the real deal.
  3. Hi all, I just want to say that even though we see all the strange stuff and get the bad rep from a lot of others the regular members on this site are all good people and would do almost anything to help a fellow collector. I have many of those people that send me PM asking if I would like this or that and I always say thanks for the offer, but I will try it some other way. Just so you all know Denver mint coins are harder to find in the Northeast. Most of you know MR Bill 347 He is one of the good guys, he saw the 2009 D that I found to fill the last hole in my cent folder. Well, he hated that it was the only tarnished coin in the book. So, before I could say no thanks Bill, he sent me out the whole 2009 D BU set. Thanks Bill it looks great.
  4. I picked up a 09 to 58 cent folder a while back, so I am having fun trying to fill holes. Nothing crazy just roll coins that look worthy. The hard-to-find ones always get a spot. This one showed up today not as hard a find as the 1913 but still 104 years old.
  5. Whatever it was some type of tool after it left the mint both impressions have the same variation of markings if you look round the raised dot. So, to me it is PMD
  6. Sorry, it does not look like doubling, it looks like plating blisters around the devices. Greenstang used the proper terminology for this.
  7. It is a 13 D and a strong filled MM.
  8. A oldie but not so much a goodie. Even so finding a 111-year old Coin in a bank roll is still fun.
  9. Truth ........Without the correct die markers, you are not going to get any more than today's market price of around $9.00 each anywhere you take these coins if you are lucky. Truth ....... They are still worth 50 cents all day long.
  10. It is a good looking 62 it looks better than any of my 62's We cannot see the coin in hand, but I think if you send it out for a regrade you would lose the DMPL.
  11. I have a scale just like yours Haydeen and it works fine. The coins are never the same weight all the time they can go up or down. I roll hunt all the time looking for nice coins to fill coin folders because I like doing it and finding an error coin is like trying to win Powerball. It is not easy to know what to look for even if you find some minor pieces it is still fun. Just don't expect to find the unicorn in your pocket. We had a post of a 92 CAM last week so yes there are some keepers still, but the odds are very high on not finding them.
  12. I have this chart; I see no reference to a 99 D at PCGS
  13. These are the original SMS sets VasquezJ ...........sorry no SP 64
  14. Yes, we know there is a lot of fabrication about the 64 SMS. It will be debunked eventually.
  15. I did say 1964 proofs after that it is 65 SMS 66 SMS and 67 SMS and in reality, the 1965 SMS was made in 1966. Also a SMS is not like a proof it is just special. LoL
  16. There are supposedly some graded, but they are just first strike 1964 coins
  17. Well if you had one that would be almost as good as a 1943 copper or a 1982 D sd copper.
  18. You will have to read up on the coin in question, I agree with Roger on this one , there is no 1964 SMS...... There was circulation and proof coins struck.in 1964. Dig deep and you may find an answer, But I think not.
  19. It looks like a nice coin to put in a folder but it would not be worth the cost to send it in for grading.
