  1. Using the shot. It looks 60 to 63 to me like others have mentioned a week strike and tarnish, the words Liberty and Cents is a bit worn near the rim .Scratch on the face and head and a very smooth rim. A 66 would be a nice gift from the grader.
  2. OK the short version ....On the top left of the page is the NGC listings go to NGC Registry pick one or more category's for your type of set. then click add a coin. Only NGC and PCGS numbers can be added.
  3. The date is key if you want more money for the coin. It can still be in a slab without the date.
  4. I cannot see the nickel you posted but I am sure it is the real deal. If you are looking for a rarity like a left over planchet from a 1942 type 1 you are on a one in a million search.
  5. I will post my new pickups here seeing I am a bit past being a NGC newbie
  6. I agree with the other members. The coin is a normal 1983. Perhaps your grandmother saved it because the rim was off a bit or some other sentimental memory.
  7. This sounds like a coin store bag where they take a variety of low and medium grade coins and throw in some posable collectables coins in a $50 to $100 bag sale. It is normally worth the price value of the coins in the bag give or take a bit.
  8. Sorry you did not get what you were looking for Wayne. Myself and many others here have been trying to help advise you on your coins. To be honest after 60 + years I still roll hunt and always will. I find the occasional oddity but I have never fount that 7 figure coin and I am 99 and 44/100 % sure I never will. I say if you enjoy hunting like I do great but do not expect to find that 43 copper right way. I have been looking since 1963 and that was only twenty years later.
  9. Sorry, I Guess these old eyes are needing new glasses
  10. Nice find Eagle and I would say a possibility but I think a incomplete punch has marks on both sides. On this coin the step has a dent, the rim is pushed away a bit, and the obverse shows some what of a impact on IN GOD WE TRUST. I don't think that would happen in the chamber and that makes me think the coin is not flat and is PMD. Just my observation without looking at it with a loupe.
  11. Here is your coin on the NGC coin look up search PastorKen just so you know. https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/3255205-114/69/
  12. Just for fun I looked up the 2021 PCGS photo and it is almost the same except for ware. https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin/2001-1c-rd/3166
  13. I think the coin is a 69 buy all rights. I would not send it in it is fine just the way it is.
  14. Welcome back , I think it is just a good strike with a bit of MD WayneT9639 . I can find no listing for a 2001 double ear cent. If a coin is not worth around $150 it would not be worth grading in my opinion. http://www.varietyvista.com/01c LC Doubled Dies Vol 3/2001PDDO001 cent.htm
  15. I was searching the web and came up with a link to Rogers story if you have not seen it yet. https://www.northwestcoinclub.com/uploads/1/1/4/3/114393559/isabella_quarter_restrikes_-_numismatist_versiion.pdf#:~:text=n direct terms%2C the Philadelphia Mint was ordered,as it is of mis- communication and confusion.
  16. Do they not like a revived thread Henri. I know it sometimes throughs me off my gyroscope
  17. I thought the article was very informative. Now if the restrikes were all from the original die's there would be no difference in the coins only the time factor.
  18. It is a nice looking cent it may just be the photo making the green tint. The coin has a lot of detail I think it would grade well but may not be high enough to offset the cost of grading.
  19. I think the hit on the mint mark has moved the metal so much it would be very difficult to make a accurate assessment on a RPM-003 if that was posable.
