Ya’all need to READ the U.S. Mint’s letter.  I am just reiterating what THEY said NOT me. Basically, I like the E.R.’s cuz they present a good investment. Like any ASE but better.

I don't consider the bullion version of ASE's as a collectible since there's an average of around 15 million minted each year yet alone an "Investment". I do however, consider the burnished version of ASE's as a collectible because they always have the least amount minted each year and are not guaranteed to be minted (check out 2009 and 2010) unlike the bullion version.

I do apologize for being a bother to you all.

You asked a legitimate question and got legitimate answers so it's not a bother at all. As JT2 said don't trust any YT "Experts" as you will be misled more often than not whereas we'll tell you the truth about your coins.

I was watching a few YouTube videos and I came across a Bessie Coleman quarter that has marks on it, and I'm not sure if it is worth submitting. Please help. It's between the T and the Y and then in front of the face then between the L and in God we trust then after that. VideoCapture_20230731-063927.jpg.27a32c501ea8aaa4ec37807576477ec1.jpg

Only submit coins that are worth at least $400.00 or more in raw condition. For example, a classic gold eagle. This coin isn't worth submitting. Hope this helps.

For future reference please post this type of question in the newbie section of the site as this part of the site is only for the buying and selling of coins. As for your coin I'd have to say maybe $20.00 or somewhere in that range as it's just a common date Peace Dollar. All Peace Dollars were minted in Philadelphia (no mint mark), Denver (D mint mark) or San Francisco (S mint mark). Hope this helps.

MA-SHOPS is a fine platform for world coins. That does NOT apply to all their dealers. Crookery is outpacing trading platforms’ ability to keep up with the crookedness of dealers on their platforms. It’s just not possible any more. Even eBay is absolutely ROTTEN with crooks now, and eBay tries harder than many platforms to keep the crooks away. It is just not possible.

Ain't that the truth. In fact this past Saturday I saw that a seller on Ebay with low 20's and sometimes lower feedback was trying to sell uncertified "Mint error" coins for a 1,000.00+ dollars . It's an outrage and most newbies to the hobby will fall victim. This could mean or explain the sudden surge of "Mint error" or "Variety " questions than we have been getting recently.
