What would you do submitters to NGC?
Mr.Bill347 replied to Mr.Bill347's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
You are right VkurtB you all have washed that idea away! I think I’ll just encapsulate them and go on speculating on something else. 😀 -

What would you do submitters to NGC?

Thanks Sandon. Of course every coin owner with a proof cameo thinks it’s a 70. Reality says other wise. I think I’ll take them to the ANA dealer, and if possible just sell them to him, and get something I’d REALLY like to have with that money. -

Yes VkurtB, i have a reasonable registry. I think i will run it by my coin guys and see what they say. If they don't think so, I just get the Morgan the JP suggested. Thanks -

What would you do submitters to NGC?

Coinbuf and Neophyte, you may absolutely be right. But after closely examining all of these, I still feel like many of them could be good candidates. I think I am going to run them over to my closest ANA dealer and have them look and give me an opinion on them before I pop for $300. It is true that many can be found on Ebay or other sites for less than $20 as a 68 or 69.Ill let you know what they say. Thanks for your thoughts. I -
I am in a quandry trying to decide on a mass submission of quarters. I have the following RAW coins: 1970 S Washington Proof UCAM 1971 S Washington Proof UCAM 1971 S Washington Proof UCAM Type 2 1972 S Washington Proof UCAM 1972 S Washington Proof UCAM 1973 S Washington Proof UCAM 1974 S Washington Proof UCAM 1976 S Washington Proof UCAM Bicentennial 1977 S Washington Proof UCAM 1978 S Washington Proof UCAM 1979 S Washington Proof UCAM 1980 S Washington Proof UCAM 2013 S Washington Silver Proof UCAM Mount Rushmore The last one is an MS Bicentennial coin 1976 D BU I am considering sending the whole batch in for grading. Some higher end quarter proofs like this have some significant value. If I were to send them all in on MODERN TIER along with shipping cost (28), it would be about $294 Do you guys think it would prove to be worth it? Higher values are for PF 69 and PF 70. What are the odds that I can hit on a few?

My Two Cents worth for today
Mr.Bill347 replied to Mr.Bill347's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
I already have the proof sets plus about 60 others. -
Only graded coins have a category. The NGC Collectors Society will allow you to log ungraded coins.

Picked these up from a friend who is divesting his collection. Just $20 including postage. Value on NGC states $20 and $25 respectively.

Thoughts on Interesting Purchase
Mr.Bill347 replied to LDH Coins & Memorabilia's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
VkurtB, I have tried multiple times to log my proof sets with pictures on the collectors society site, and not been able to do so. It is not very intuitive, and not much on-line help is available. If there is a secret to it, Id like to know. -

You did good. HA and GC auctions are getting higher prices plus their commissions. I like the quality of your coin. you just saved a bunch of money. -
Came across an email from this site. Sure 28 NGC or PCGS ms66 Morgan dollars for 44.95! HA HA HA THEY EVEN GO SO FAR AS TO DISPLAY VALID NGC GRADED COINS THAT VERIFY ON THE REGISTRY. supposedly sold 2,700 already, all four US mints Lol. i am truly amazed that scams like this are even legal. https://barskilz.com/products/Set

Newbie Question - Pocket Change Coins
Mr.Bill347 replied to Seamus8's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
I have gotten entire Loomis rolls of newly minted quarters where the entire roll is BU the last two that I found I kept. One WCD and one Sally Ride quarter roll. I’m sure if I wanted to, I could find a few MS coins in the lot.
