MS675FS ~ I am thoroughly enjoying this nickel run. Primo stuff. Still can’t get over Coinbufs 40 D. That thing is just smooth as eggs!

Very much so. Since the hub improvement in 1987, the detail has vastly improved. Full steps are very common these days.

I did a little more digging on this club and it has some pretty prominent names in the coin community attached to it. I would definitely do some research on it. There are other denominations that are stamped and from what I see, they aren’t the cheapest things around. Good luck Mike and Hoghead finding some. Does it have a grade?

Judging by the shadow, I think it is raised. Nice find.

Lem E got a reaction from B.C in 1951 P Jefferson Nickel - die crack
Hello everyone. I just received this 1951 P a few days ago and noticed something during the photo session for my registry set. I am wanting to say there is a possible die crack on the reverse. It starts at the bottom of pillar 3, moves up through the pillar, through the triangle, follows the dome, and up to the bottom of the S in PLURIBUS. It looks raised from the surface with no color change along the line. It seems to follow the profile of the device with no gaps and has a jagged appearance. At first I thought it may be a scratch but upon further inspection (10x and 30x loupe) I believe it is a die crack. If so, I would like to put this out there as reference material for anyone else looking for similar information. All feedback is welcome. Thanks for looking.

Seems like it to me too. Looks like smeared soldering. I think I am naming this one PUNK ROCK TOMMY with his orange mohawk and sweet cross tat under his eye.

I tried to take a picture of a buffalo nickle of mine. Im getting a little better but still having trouble with glare. Ill figure it out eventually with a little trial and error.

I have been up all night working on pictures, and it seems that a simple table lamp with a soft white bulb and a regular lampshade that I can move around a little has helped bring out more of the true look and colors of the coins. They are flat on the table and I’m still getting colors and patterns. The brighter more fluorescent led light was washing the coin out. Seem to get a better pic with the phone rather than the I pad. I’m ok with the way they are coming out.

Those are pretty good, better than anything I've done.
There was a very informative thread a few months back about this subject, here it is.
You'll have to sift through some nonsense but there is some very good info in there. One of my goals for this year is to become better at imaging my coins.
