  1. Boy do I feel dumb. I need to start slowing down and reading the fine print before I pull the trigger on these coins from now on. Is it usually bad to buy from sellers who sell by stock photos?
  2. I got a set of the lyingest eyes there ever was. They've tricked me more than once.
  3. I'll probably end up with a lot lower grade coin. It comes in ill post it on here. See what I end up with. Probably another hard learned lesson. Have had quite a few of those lately. This hobby can be unforgiving sometimes. Can teach you some expensive lessons.
  4. I see now. Hopefully I get one that looks that good. I need to start watching that closer.
  5. I ended up bidding on another buffalo nickle. This one was in a little better shape. I will probably have this one graded. It looks nice except the rim is dinged up a tiny bit. It is still in the mail but I couldn't wait to put it on here. My questions are: Did I pay to much? Also wonder what it would grade? Here is the Ebay link where I purchased it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/124662665325
  6. I noticed Mac also has several different stickers. MAC finest, MAC rainbow, MAC deep proof, etc. I seen one coin on Ebay had MAC stickers all over it. Looked like the back windshield of a Volkswagen at a Grateful Dead concert. That's no lie either.
  7. I regret buying that buffalo nickle with the scratch on it. Which brings me to another rule. Always inspect it thoroughly. I thought that was a die crack till u said scratch. Then looked closer and it was a scratch.
  8. I can understand the CAC stickers marking the best coins. I just hope all the other dealers don't start following suit with that seller trying to get 6000 out of a $25 nickle because of those MAC stickers. People see stuff like that on EBAY and think to themselves, "I need me some MAC stickers." That's what I hope it dont come down to. Then everything get way over priced. I just hope all sellers don't turn out like the one in the example above over a MAC sticker. I can't hardly wrap my head around that. $6000 for a $25 coin.
  9. I hope the hobby don't come down to sticker wars and everything gets way over priced. If people start paying those ridiculous prices and it makes the prices go way up on those low ball coins ill have to give up on the hobby. Surely to goodness it won't. Hope not anyways.
  10. They lost their mind. If you notice on all the other coins they are trying to sell, most has MAC stickers on them. And way over priced. I'm gonna start slapping stickers on all mine. I'm gonna stick those scratch and sniff stickers on em though. That way at least you can get a pleasant smell out of them after ya get ripped off. I've not got the heart to do that to people tho.
  11. I loved it up in Monteral when I worked up there years ago. All the old buildings.
  12. I'd love to have a rail road job. That would be a dream job to drive one of those big trains. Love stuff like that.
  13. No. Just worked on alot of junk my whole life. I took welding in vocational school when I was younger.
  14. I'd like to see them come back. I also like the old shied nickles with the rays. Love that look.
  15. I like how they say, "Were here to fulfill your dreams and desires." I been dreaming of all mine having higher grades. Does that mean they will get a sticker?
  16. Kinda looks like it has been glued to something at one time or another. I could be wrong.
  17. It would be rough trying to submit coins back in those days.
  18. I recently ordered a state quarter and national park quarter albums. I'm gonna try to put them together with my kids. Kinda excited. We had a great time working on our wheat cent album. We're getting close to completing it.
  19. I'm the same way. Everything I've ever sold I've named every little flaw I could. And told them if it didn't work out I'd give their money back. I think honesty is the only way to go. Makes me feel better about myself whether I sell anything or not.
  20. Here's one I learned to live by. If it sounds too good to be true then it is. Also never trust your lying eyes.
