  1. Don't feel bad my friend. My first 2 purchases I ended up with cleaned Morgan dollars. A combined price if over $120. Wish I'd researched more before I started buying. I learned from my mistake to not get in a hurry.
  2. I was looking for W quarters today and ran into a roll that had several state quarters from the early 2000s in very good shape. Some looked brand new. No wear at all and hardly no scratches at all. All kinds of luster. I usually don't save those but I put them up because they were in such great shape. I may do an album with them.
  3. I also like denticles. I think they make coins look fantastic. Love the looks of them.
  4. Was working on pre 64 quarters and ran across that. The bid was fairly low so I gave it a shot. I really like buffalos also.
  5. Got the old cac buffalo nickle in. Can't tell by pics but when you rotate it the sticker says CAC in it.
  6. RWB that just responded wrote the book. It's full of wonderful information. It's a very informative book if you need info for a writing. RWB can answer about any question you need.
  7. That sounds like something I would do. I'd think somebody's kid stuck that on there or something.
  8. Nevermind. Done answered question so I deleted post. I looked over it.
  9. I'm still not very familiar with CAC. I got a basic idea of what they do but I haven't researched much about them. But I finally bought my first coin with a bean on it. Usually in the auctions the ones with the green beans has the bid run way up on them. I finally ended up winning one that the bid wasn't real high on. It was a 1938 D buffalo nickle. It's supposed to have come in the mail today. Cant wait to see it. I'm gonna do some researching on CAC. Would love to learn more about them.
  10. That big scratch on it is heartbreaking. It is a very beautiful color. It will still look good in a capsule.
  11. Hello. It's great to meet you. Very nice double eagles. Got me to drooling.

  13. Very sweet!!!! That's an absolute beauty. Only thing I got against that coin is that it's not mine. Nice find my friend.
  14. So far I have had good luck. I did have a couple packages that got stuck in a town and took a few days to shake loose. Also had a couple that the tracking number wouldn't update and finally they were delivered and the tracking info still not updated.
  15. Here soon I'm gonna start researching the more modern history. I got to finish a couple more books I'm reading about the early days.
  16. I got a set of 2020 s in ms67. I don't know how many they produce each year. I bought that set while back. I'm not sure of the more modern history. I've not researched it yet. I'm still researching the 1800s and early 1900s.
  17. I'm not sure about that. They may have. I don't know enough to answer that question. Still in the learning process.
  18. they still make proofs. I'm not sure about business strikes. I think they make a few cause I got a set.
  19. It's raw. I'm gonna look it over really good and then send it in and have it graded
  20. I ended up buying a Buffalo Nickle that I really loved the color of. I tried to talk myself out of it but I wouldn't listen to myself. I closed my eyes, gritted my teeth, and hit the buy button. I couldn't help myself. I really love the coloring of it. My question is what causes the striped coloring? Is it the metals not mixing properly and then toning different shades? Also does it look like it's been altered in any way?
