  1. Your welcome my friend. I figured it be worth keeping just for the heck of it. It would have been better if it were a tiny bit lower. But still good enough.
  2. That late die state is probably why it chipped then ain't it? Thought it was a neat place to chip. Looks like Roosevelt has a booger.
  3. Eyeballs are nasty looking when they are hanging out aint they. Had a friend that wrecked his truck one night and it tore his eye out of socket. That was a horrible sight. It was dangling to. He ended up losing it. He's got a glass eye now.
  4. Wasn't laughing about the dog. Was about making me wear glasses the whole time
  5. Almost forgot @Fenntucky Mike. It's hard to see. You can really tell it under a microscope. I lied though. I said it was a 2021. It's a 2020. Figured it be a cool one to put in a coin flip.
  6. I'm gonna have to go down look for coins in that country. You racking them up my friend. That's awsome.
  7. Sir now that is a beauty. Love it.
  8. That is a beautiful quarter. Love that cameo. That was a very nice find.
  9. Soon as I get home this evening I'll put it on here.
  10. I found one in my change last night. A 2021 that has a die chip right at Roosevelt's nose hole. Looks like he's got a boog there. Perfectly placed. Then it got a small one running down from it to his mouth. I put it back and saved it. It was very cool.
  11. You got some very nice coins. I love how those die cracks go plum to the edge of the rim. Very cool. Hopefully I can find a pre 64 GW like that. I'm gonna be on the hunt. I'm gonna scratch and dig and maybe even do some crying and begging to try and get the money for that one I found. I fell in love with it. And gonna pray they don't sell it before I get the money. If they do end up selling it I'm gonna be very happy for the person who ends up buying it. It is a sweet looker. Whoever gets it is gonna have a good one in their collection.
  12. Nice find my friend. That's got some dandys in it. That's a real price tag on em.
  13. I was a technician and installed fiber optics and equipment for them. Made very good money at the time. Wish I would have stayed at it in a way. Could have been doing good right now. But I ended up having a kid and got homesick. Then money wasn't as important as being with my family and being home. Was happy with being poor and creating memories. I sure had the time of my life the first couple years. Was young and single making all that money. Got to see the country. Seen a little bit of everything out on the road.
  14. That's even better. That's an awesome coin my friend.
  15. That's a very sweet die crack. There's just something about them die cracks that does it for me. I enjoy them. Plan on owning more in the future.
  16. They could have probably made a movie about that if they would have followed us around. Throw a bunch of hillbillies out in Manhattan. Set us up in that fancy motel. We all got our own private rooms also at The Courtyard Marriott. We worked for Global Crossing. That company treated us great. They set us up in Toronto and Montreal also. Bought us tickets to a baseball game. First and only time I ever been to one. Watched the Toronto Bluejays. The Mariners beat them up there. We didn't cheer none cause there was mad fans all around us. We didn't want them to know we were Americans. Would have probably got beat down or something. All that kind of stuff excited me. I'd never been out of the holler before. Got to see things I'd only seen on TV
  17. That probably what it is. That makes a whole lot of sense. Never thought about that.
  18. I'd really love to have one of those wounded eagle Sac dollars.
  19. What had me stumped most of all was why most of them was cracked up by the top of his head. Must be in the design. Made a weak spot in that area. RWBs book had all kinds of cool information on how dies were made, annealed, and cooled in various ways to help keep them from cracking. There's something about that spot on his head that's hard on the dies.
  20. We mainly stayed around time Square when we weren't working. We went and saw the empire state building also. I got a picture of me 19 years old standing on top empire state building and the twin towers in the background. We literally flew out of LA Guardia Airport the day before the planes were hijacked to come home. I couldn't tell you exactly where our job site was. It was like a maze to me. We were four blocks from the towers though. I remember being on time Square and being on TV. They was filming people from that MTV building. People were out in the street waving and hollering. We got in there and gave it a wave to. First and last time I ever been on TV. It was a pretty cool place. I remember the guys I worked with wanted to go to a bar called Hogs and Heifers. I was to young so I went back and chilled at the motel. They ended up getting to drunk and they pitched the one guy out into the street. Then he ended up getting mugged on the way back. The guys working at the motel were all really cool old boys. They treated us great. They patched our old buddy up after that guy rolled him and took his wallet. He had a bad night.
  21. Found a cool woodie for the Whitman album. Love these striped coins. Aren't they caused by the alloys not mixing properly? Or something to do with the annealing process? I think I've seen it mentioned on here before but I've had so much on my mind I can't remember alot of things unless I sit and study it. The reverse doesn't have the stripes so I'll just post the obverse. Unless someone wants to see it. Just say so if you do and I don't care to take a picture of it.
  22. I like those sore head George's also. Hopefully I can save the money up and get that one I saw. I really think it was struck off the same die as the second picture above.
  23. I got to liking the GWs pretty good. Especially the ones that have character to them. I like when the portrait of Washington is solid white and the fields have a very light toning. And gets darker around the rim. I'm a sucker for those if I can find them.
