  1. this is from a well known ebayer who amazingly has an endless amount of coins toned exactly the same only on the obverse. This is listed as GEM UNC but has a missing letter(s) on the reverse and it kind of looks like the "A" was upside down.
  2. ratzie where are the side by side reverse pics so we can count the rays??? come on man!!
  3. im sorry to announce i may be the most computer illiterate person on this forum....i tried to put 2 side by sides but to no avail....great images on other TPG site but i cant figure it out. the truth is near and this discovery will be known to the world
  4. can somebody help me move the pics side by side of the OP coin versus the known version. perhaps if we could count the full rays we could spot a difference. the ray that goes right above the slant in the "N" would be where i would start counting rays
  5. ratzie can you please post a detailed photo of the ground underneath DOLLAR on your coin side by side a closeup detailed photo of a proven 1922 so we can compare you are skilled with the camera so it will be easy
  6. RWB thanks that is amazing how you do that, i only am able to post pics that somebody else took.. but....i do have 4 vintage OTT lights that i still cant take a good pic with.
  7. when i left the phillipines MT PINATUBO was looking like that and that was the end of a golden era
  8. rwb, do you think this may have been net graded 62 (it really looks 63 maybe) because it was dipped? but not ruined
  9. wow that is SO true, im gonna have to steal your line it is a good one!
  10. i have been working on a blast white 62 set and have gotten to the harder dates. I have looked for this date for months. I paid full price but it was just calling out to me! I am/was a peace guy but now i cant help but love the morgans.
  11. hello again, i have some nicer peace dollars that i am wondering if conservation would help. they are not what i would consider "toned" but are just starting to turn darker and not white. I can see the luster but just sort of a grey haze. Is this considered toning or tarnish? thanks
  12. this looked like it was a "sharpie" job. nowhere on the coin does anything look remotely like a proof?? what happened to the reverse proof side?? 100K coin sold to someone for under 6K thinking they scored the coin of a lifetime. i reported the bidding team issues and ebay did nothing. sad.
  13. yeah thats the one, im not sure how he has it set up but he has multiple (like 10 or more?) bidders that are bidding on almost EVERY one of his listings. if ebay doesnt do anything im gonna call them tomorrow major going on 1895-O morgan listing ending in several minutes bid bid bid bid bid bid bid choice unc??
  14. yeah i reported but like you said who knows what they will do. this seller has a long history of alleged bad practices (to put it nicely) via google search (20 years worth) and many ebay complaints but still selling away. I would be willing to wager that you already know of the person with your experience. it just pisses me off that people can get away with such obvious bad behavior. and i ONLY buy off ebay, so it really pisses me off. he is the proud owner of the 1826 dime i posted earlier. SAD!
  15. i have been looking at some coins that i deem very suspect from one seller. after reviewing all the bid histories of the higher end items it appears the seller has multiple schill bidders that simply bid on his auctions and nobody elses. the bidder/seller ratios are 100%, 92%, 85% with hundreds of bids on hundreds of auctions/ i think this activity ruins things for people like me who want to fairly bid and buy coins. does ebay actually do anything. it says on their site dont bother to report it because they already got this??? really??
  16. the coin is listed as a choice proof with only 5-8 known which would make it very high dollar coin. im not really seeing the Proof part of anything but i cant see anything except the color that seems off. and it seems weird an extremely rare coin would not be in a major tpg slab and on ebay. seems another case of potentially way to good to be true perhaps.
  17. hello again, please take a look and advise. bidding is almost at 1000 but something seems weird.
  18. sir on the 1892 reverse what do you observe on the top rim/edge? it looks off centered but not not quite the same on the front? i get to looking at the images and start second guessing what i may or may not be seeing/ thanks
