hows it going coinbuf. i dont do lincoln cents but this is absolutely beautiful. i really like the depth of the color. as stated, im no abe lincoln but what is keeping this from being a 64 or 65?? if we were doing the guess the grade my answer would have been 65 (wrong again) everyone please advise or is this just undergraded bigtime?? -
LOLOL yeah i hear that! i am liking the full slab shots alot more.

i am finding out that some of the photos are sooooo detailed that almost all the coins look worse than in hand. looking at the pics it almost looks barely like an ms62 but in hand it looks much better. I am just trying to learn how to photograph coins (still cant capture blast whiteness) does anyone know what the magnification level is for a photo like this (not even sure what the lense is called). i am thinking that is why alot of sellers post "good" solid pics but not crazy magnification shots. i still am figuring out the CAC system of what will/will not bean. some did that were not nearly as nice as some that didnt. I am looking at the coins closely as they come back hoping to find the secret to success. I have an OGH ms61 peace 34S that is showing as received by CAC and waiting patiently to find the results. side by side a newer PCGS holder 34S MS63 it is exactly the same. that may be the last chance i have for "gold" bean out of my entire collection.

still working on my photo skills but at least starting to understand how to turn the system on here is a couple more that got the bean.
-
well i got the result from my second CAC submission of 19 coins. once again 8 of 19 got grean beans. i am gonna go on a limb and say i should be ecstatic trying to maintain an average of almost 50% i have 3 more submissions already out the door registered and they have received one of those. I purchased the camera setup recommended by RAY the camera guy and it is amazing. i still dont have any idea what im doing but it is obvious the equipment just needs a skilled operator. here are a couple pics and please let me know if you have any photo tips. i am really having a hard time catching the "BLAST WHITE" of the coins.

coinbuf, i talked to RAY several times via email, seems like a very helpful guy, purchased the system he recommended with all the bells and whistles for right at 7 franklins. I am excited to finally be able to take a half-way decent picture (hopefully) thanks again for the lead! i will post my green beans and future hopefuls

well i got the news from CAC today. 8 of my 19 coins submitted "passed". im not sure if that means green or possible gold?? the 1883 CC DMPL "passed" and that was the one i had the highest hopes for. I will look at the coins that didnt and try to figure out what the "green bean" qualities are. i guess for my first submission it isnt a bridge jumper but i thought i had a good shot at 50 percent as many of the coins looked high quality to me. I have already sealed my second submission and if i can ever figure out how to take pictures will post the results. sending in some 21 peace dollars and a couple 34s peace so the next one might be a heartbreaker

wow, you have lost your perception of reality. i think you need a vacation or something to help you relax. P.S. I apologize in advance for being the dumbest member of this group because i can honestly say i havent understood one of your rambling intellectual posts in the past three months. i guess i should have went to college instead of the military and i would be able to understand the true brilliant meaning of your posts. my bad. -
hello all, i saw this on ebay. i have reported what i feel to be fakes many times to ebay and they never took any action. The PCGS cert number doesnt come up, the label is jacked up, the coin looks cleaned XF? and is listed as a 64. please look at the ebay link and pics. what can we do with this?? will PCGS get involved.. please advise as this really bothers me. 1893 cc Morgan Silver Dollar MS64 PCGS | eBay
