just hunting for any gold coins that would be close to the mark just for a investment purpose. But when we looked at this coin I thought for the price maybe one nice coin to keep for the future.
Oh i happen to be a big fan of the Indian series. 2 1/2 , 5 and 10 dollar golds. anywya i was curious as to the "investment" part of your answer. are you looking at the gold investment coins to out pace and out gain any other investment that you are making or are you just adding as part of your portfolio? I think that it has been a big misconception that the metals out pace other investment and the only way to make and keep money is with the metals. dont get me wrong i do have metls as part of my over all portfolio but it isnt more that 15%....With that being said i would go with the old stuff.. moderns are only for bullion stacking in my opionion.......

I am looking to buy silver bars - I'm thinking 10 oz. bars. ( I can purchase smaller or larger) There many different bars out there at different prices. I plan to hold them long term
What is the best denomination for silver bars?
Which variety of bar is the best for the long term?
Humm is this just for investment purposes, or is it going to be part of a tangible asset portfolio? If it is the later the easier to move are silver eagles or maple leafs. if you are looking to just stack because you think that silver prices will out return any other type of investment that you can or will make then go with the 10 oz-ers. I for one have been looking at the trends on silver and gold for years..... yes they have gone up,but it is at almost the similar rate or comperable to all of my other investments. Just lookig to see if you are falling intot he hype of buy buy buy bujy gold and silver........ just my opinion future gains are not always indicitive of market value..........(disclaimer)

With the “urination poor” performance of their website, it’s painfully obvious that Windows is far too common in their IT shop. Yeccch!
As a F n G (Federal Government) IT contractor i can attest to the simplisity of the computer systems in current use. Mostly Windows serve platforms fed ramp cloud sourced VMs....
but those of us who do the real work run the Red Hat and Fedora servers..........(better for making things rumble off of the pad) we get kinda tourqed when they send us to fix Bill's stuff
of course i send him a Christmas card every year hehehehhehehe

Given the limited quantity and excessive pricing I'm not concerned at all. I won't be purchasing anything from the Mint for a long time I think.
This includes any bullion, cheaper to pay for slabbed Au or Ag at auction houses.EXACTLY!! i am going to be diverting my hard earned cash to something a little older and nicer. I can by a good standing liberty quarter for what they are wanting on EBAY. or even a really nice Buffalo

Just waiting until the FUN show in July. Florida is open for bussiness!!! I am not going to fret over the loss of one of these commems ...........they will bne around when i want one if i even like them. I think that since i missed out on them i will turn my dollars to something better. at the EBay going rate i can by a few MS 6 6 linconlns from the 20's or 30's sink it into so FB mercs or even some really nice silver washingtons. I will difernt my hard earned money elsewhere.

have you measured it up against an old style proof set? or the likes? what i am thinking and i havent done it but i have a couple of them are Eagle coin holder albums for proof sets. I have various Eagle albulms for slabbed coins as well as some of there old 2 x 2 holder albums. It may be worth a try.

Wow that bust half is a sweet one.. I think there may be a dozen varities of this year in the Overton catagories. just my opionoin and only mine since i only dabble in them and have only about 10 of them ithink she may be an O-110 at quick glance. I would have her slabbed in a heartbeat.

Well since it is taken after the latin alphabet and they do not have a "u" hence you get the "v"

They may charge you for removal of the coins from the snap locks

the slab is the slab is the slab..... with that said look at the coin. tell who you are buying it from that you believe it is only a 68 and then come to a concensus on what you are willing to give for it. I have many "off" brand slabs. Most i feel were over graded and i told the deal i was buying it from so. and he kinda just says well yeah i think so to then we agree on what it really is and go from there. ALWAYS BUY THE COIN. there are dogs of many coats and colors (SLABS) even if it was an NGC or PCGS tell them you think it may be over graded and then tell them why you think so. just me thats whaat i do. I am a coin collector not a slab collector

I’m still learning the area around me, from Huntsville on south to Birmingham so far.
Head East young man (I think that is an old rock and roll song) and you will find my old stomping grounds of Grant, Woodville, and the Guntersville Dam. I used to work at Cathedral Caverns in the summer. You have to watch out for the hugh Rattlers and i am not talking the OGH. some were about 8'
