That is a Large Date so it is worth 1 cent.

Greenstang got a reaction from GoldFinger1969 in Came from unopened 1800’s coin roll never circulated or cleaned. Thoughts?
It is a nice uncirculated Morgan but it is certainly not a MS70 ( I don’t know of any Morgan that is).
and I can’t see any sign of a Lamination error. Not sure where somebody got that info from.

Don’t make us guess, please explain what you see as an error.
All I see is a regular cent with some corrosion.

    Welcome to the Chat Board.
Glad you are enjoying the hobby, you will never stop learning something new.
Suggest you get a Red Book to study US coinage, it doesn’t have to be a new one.
As far as the war nickel set, that would be an aftermarket set as the mint never produced anything like that.
I see no harm in purchasing it (as long as it is reasonably priced) if you want to break it apart for your collection.
If you want, you can supply a photo of it here to get the opinion of others.

    Welcome to the forum
Overkill on the photos, a complete photo of each side and possibly one or two closeups is sufficient.
As far as your cent goes, Coinbuf summarized it pretty good. In that condition it is a cull coin worth 1 cent.

Greenstang got a reaction from bobbyboshay in 1972 1Cent Cud ?
Agree, that is a die chip, a cud is caused when the edge of the die breaks off leaving a blob on the rim.

Greenstang got a reaction from Coinbuf in Diagnose/ Describe these coins. Errors? Not errors? What are they? Do you know?
I don’t see a true error on any of them.  Nothing that can’t be attributed to some sort of PMD.
Please describe what you see as an error that happened during the striking of the coin.

Sorry bit don’t see any die cracks. A die crack would be raised.

Definitely damaged. The rims have taken hits that have flattened them.
This could not have happened during the striking of the coin.
    Worth it’s weight in silver.

Your right, it is a Small Date 1982D zincoin.
Pretty common though as there were millions minted.

Greenstang got a reaction from EagleRJO in 1970 S small date and 1958 D error.
I see no error on the 1958 D. The mint marks were hand punched into the working die so the
location can be anywhere below the date and to the right of the Lincoln’s coat. Yours are normal.

Corrosion, copper turns green when exposed to certain elements.
As suggested, try the magnet test to be sure.

This is the Registry Forum, I have asked that it be moved to the proper forum.
Do you have a question on your Lincoln cent? There was no Wide or Close AM in 1988, they are all the same.
It is a nice looking cent though.

Greenstang got a reaction from SilverGary in My only British coin. Is it valuable as Google claims?
I can’t see how a coin that had over 1 1/2 BILLION struck can be valuable.
Perhaps because it was the first decimalized Colin issued in 1971, people think it is valuable.
I do see them listed for ridiculous prices but it is what they sold for that counts, not the asking price.
The listed price for a 1971 Uncirculated penny is about a dollar and about 20 cents for a circulated one.
