  1. Non of the above. Possibly a rim fin that has folded over.
  2. No it’s not. There is no Doubling on that quarter. If you see Doubling, please enlarge that area and show us.
  3. Your quarter is ungradeable, it would just be returned. It is just a badly damaged quarter worth 25 cents. In the future please crop your photos and let us know why you posted it. This way we are not guessing as to what you want to know.
  4. Welcome to the forum Agree with Fenntucky Mike, it is just a replica. If real, it would be silver and worth 5 figures.
  5. It is possible that it is plated gold. Coins have been plated many colours, but without a clear photo, we would only be guessing.
  6. Welcome to the Forum As stated, it is only the copper 1982D Small Date that is valuable. The other 8 varieties in circulated condition are only worth 1 cent. Don’t waste too much time looking for one though, there are only. about 6 or so known to exist.
  7. Welcome to the Forum Agree with the above. In the future, please show both sides of the coin for assesment, how do we know that. the other side is not damaged. Also crop your photos, we don’t need all that background and this would increase the size of your photo.
  8. Not close to a 1969S DDO cent. I can see no sign of doubling anywhere. This applies to the other post on the same coin as well.
  9. Your correct Environmental Damage. There is nothing at the mint that would cause that.
  10. Welcome to the forum This is the forum for buying/selling coins. Not sure what your question is but it just looks like a regular 66 Kennedy half dollar with some wear. If you are seeing something different, please state what you want to know.
  11. It looks like a Ridge Ring caused by a deteriorating die. Just part of the minting process.
  12. Not an error, it is PMD. Something has hit the rim. There is no way that could happen when the coin was struck.
  13. A dealer would normally give you 50-60% of retail value.
  14. Looks like someone has put a thick layer of clear glue on it and pressed the edge of another coin on it. That is why you can still see the IN GOD WE TRUST lettering through it. Try soaking in pure acetone for about 24 hours and see if it comes off. This will not hurt the coin. Whatever the cause, It was done after the coin left the mint.
  15. You’re correct, this is something that could not happen during the minting of the coin. Just plain old damage however it was caused.
  16. Welcome to the forum Please do not use screen shots, they are too pixilated to see detail clearly. From what I can tell from that photo, your Cent is not an error, it is damage from a hit. There is nothing there that would happen during the striking of the coin.
  17. There have been counterfeits since the beginning of coinage. Age has nothing to do with it. Yours is definitely one of them. There is no identity or detail to identify.
  18. This is a duplicate post. It was established on the other post that this is a counterfeit coin.
  19. You have Machine Doubling along with might be some Die Deterioration Doubling. Doesn’t really matter as both are a worthless type of doubling.
  20. Those marks have nothing to do with the planchet. As stated, they are caused by the coin wrapping machine. You will find these on the end coin of most rolls. The filled D is caused by a broken post, this is common on D and P mint marks and adds no value.
  21. I would say a partial grease filled die. Not uncommon especially around the edges.
  22. I take it by bumping this post that you are looking for more lowballs Here is another of my PO1's, a Canadian 1892 50 cent coin
  23. It’s a counterfeit. No numismatic value. Just compare the photo with a genuine coin, it’s not even close.
  24. CCF hass a good Forum on coin photography. Lots of reading https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/forum.asp?forum_id=81
