  1. Hard to tell from that pixilated photo, you are not even showing the complete clash but from what I can see I would say no, it is not a mule die clash. Also do not use screen shots.
  2. Mercury dimes do not have a Full Torch, they have Full Bands which yours obviously is not. It is the Roosevelt dimes that have a Full Torch.
  3. Don’t waste your time on minor anomolies. The mint produces coins at high speed and puts production over quality. If you increase the size enough, you could probably find something wrong with just about any coin. As Sandon stated, ,if you can’t see a major error without increasing the size, then it’s not worth worrying about. Put away the microscope and read up on how coins are minted what an actual error looks like.
  4. Welcome to the forum I only have one thing to say, find a new coin dealer.
  5. Not an error, just damage from taking a hit that flattened the 9. There is no way for that to happen when the coin was struck. Also please put the date and denomination in your heading.
  6. Welcome to the forum You can by a nice steelie for a couple of dollars, why even try to clean it.
  7. Very common Machine Doubling on that series. I read on another forum that a member did a survey and found out that over 60% of the quarters in that series had MD.
  8. Split plate doubling. Seems fairly common on mint marks. No added value, it is one of the worthless types of doubling.
  9. For the record, die chips and die cracks are not considered errors. If you want to know what true errors are, study the following site. error-ref.com
  10. I just went by the mint mark, it is in the wrong location. Easier than trying to compare letters.
  11. What you have is a small die crack, you can see it running up the side of the wheat stalk. Not really big enough to add any extra value though.
  12. Yes, it is not even close to being genuine. Did you compare to a picture of a genuine coin?
  13. Welcome to the forum. What makes you think that is worth more than 10 cents? There were over 376 million struck so they aren’t rare. When making inquires, always show both sides of the coin and explain your reason for asking, this way we are not guessing.
  14. Welcome to the forum Definitely damage, that could not occur during the striking of the coin. In the future, please crop your photos. All that background is not necessary.
  15. It is only an error if it happens during the striking of the coin. As that could not have happened at that time, then it is damage, no matter how it happened.
  16. Agree Just something that was stuck on the coin. Doesn’t really matter what as it didn’t leave the mint looking like that
  17. Looks to me like there is some sort of substance on it. If it was struck through, it would be concuse, yours appears raised.
  18. Sorry, there was a typo on my previous post, it should read 4.44 and 5.89. They blanks that produce Planchets are weighed in bulk so as long as the bulk weight is within tolerance, they pass the test, so you can have some underweight and some overweight blanks. The mint is more concerned with quantity than quality.
  19. Agree It is damage from a hit, no premium for damage.
  20. The weight tolerance on the clad quarters is .227 which means that it could fall antwhere between 4.44 and 5.89.
  21. There was another one like this that sold on eBay for $305.00, there was another one with an asking price of $500.00 but he accepted best offer. Not sure what that was so it might be worth getting graded, that is up to you. Depends on whether you want to sell it or keep it.
