  1. There are some members who are unalterably opposed to availing themselves of that function. Only de-escalation--or unremitting silence 🔕 works. 🤔
  2. [Some showboating and grandstanding noted as well as an admission of stalking. "Ever since he's been reinstated." Well, I never! Who is "taunting the moderators"? I am simply stating a fact! I never, not once, said I am "in trouble with admins." Only "moi" can see the warning ⚠️ points. I am, figuratively speaking, on a short leash. Now are you quite ready to move on and talk about coins? Heaven's to Betsy!]
  3. [At least the gentleman did not order you to vacate a dormant thread. That's unprecedented.]
  4. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer my coins in, what's that term I've seen used... ah, yes, OGP (or something like that.) Besides, if the old sarcophagus works, why exhume the work of art? Let sleeping coins lie, I always say. [If ever there was a prime candidate for re-internment, that honor goes to any number of proof sets issued in filmy glsssines stapled together and placed lovingly in flimsy cardboard presentation boxes.]

  6. Maybe so, but now you've got a collector's collectible!
  7. Not sure if my response counts, but there is a very noticeable interval when trolling, Sorry, trawling, scrolling and strolling, about. You understand. Edit: I timed it Mike: NINE SECONDS!
  8. The "market" is your fan base here which is limitless and notoriously difficult to quantify.
  9. Many thanks for the news and link! I knew just which family member would be interested.
  10. You've made an admirable use of our host's band-width... 544 posts spread over 19 pp. Looks like you're a contender!
  11. Funny how you cannot see the date looking at it up closely, but from a distance... it's a '27 alright.
  12. @GoldFinger1969: My intent was to shed a light on some of the really fantastic people we "grew up with," regardless of the commentary they provided. I guess it's not everybody's cup of tea. This thread in particular was not unlike finding a Wooly Mammoth trapped for centuries beneath the frozen tundra. This thread brings personalities, some no longer with us, to life. Ok, point made. Many thanks for your post-midnite contribution. And thanks for stopping in.
  13. I actually got one of these once from my local bank. It goes without saying yours was in much better condition.
  14. @Oldhoopster: My friend, there appears to be a failure of communication or skewed perception here. My fault. I apologize to you, and the upright, blameless respectable constituency you represent. Dena stuck her neck out and breathed life into me and I don't want to let her down. I know you were not happy about my resurrection. Others have voiced similar sentiments. Some have silently departed for other venues. The enduring mystery is what scriptural principle blocks you from blocking me? I cannot believe anyone in this day and age would take me seriously! You force me to defend a part of me that is illusory at best. No matter. I will let the market decide my fate. I bid you good-nite! Thanks for stopping by. [No emoji]
  15. Hey wait, this is the thread I can leave comments on! 🤔 I can honestly say I find this coin, this date, in this superb condition, to be downright intimidating and a sight to behold. It is really a shame you felt you had to de-encapsulate it to display its awesome detail for a live studio audience. Great piece!
  16. Letter-perfect response, as usual. Maybe an errant trilobite? I read an item that reports the Perth mint has sold more gold than the U.S. mint. Not sure of the time trilogies?. A bit of trivia.
  17. @Oldhoopster: My alter-ego, Ricky the Rooster 🐓, wishes to know why you don't simply block ["ignore] Q.A., and be done with him, once and for all? I am certain other enquiring minds would like to know as well?
  18. @CoinJockey73: Who are you fooling? You've never "blocked" anyone in your life! That's the point I was trying to get across to NN. It's a function you will never use. [You're way too happy-go-lucky and care-free. Read your posts!]
  19. It is my understanding the Royal Mint will continue to use Queen Elizabeth's likeness on British coins. But then I've read there was a run on local banks there to pick up coins and crisp new currency. What to make of it?
