  1. Hey forgive me if I missed it but do you guys have a census up for the new Morgans yet? If not will you soon? Not finding them. I'm curious how the grading is going overall. Thanks.
  2. Yeah the mail they're currently opening is updated on the services/fees paid in a banner towards the top. It's fairly well updated. Maybe once a week?
  3. On NGCs home page click the banner with the new Morgans and Peace. It has instructions on what to do. Choose economy at a minimum. Since it will be your only order there's a $10 handling fee plus the shipping tier. Select scratch resistant holders at $5 each if you want. These would be a good practice order for you. Screen what you got closely if you want 70s. I had to send some back to the mint because they were damaged. Some I kept in original box as they couldn't get 70s and some I sent knowing theyll probably get 69s but who knows. I think I'll get some 70s out of it but wouldn't want to bet on how many. The online order form works well and prints out the sheets you need to send with order at the end. Keep your customer copy at the end. Be sure to read everything and sign the bottom. I popped all mine out of the capsules and sent in flips as a safety measure. The capsules open surprisingly hard. About 30 seconds per to safely open. I don't want somebody in a hurry doing hundreds of them ripping a capsule open and having the coin go flying. I don't know how they're doing it but could see issues if that is somebody's job to pop those capsules open all day. They stick because it's difficult to pull them straight apart at once.
  4. Was wondering if there's a way to check any grading credit you have remaining. I bought the middle membership this year since I will be grading quite a bit this year. You give a $150 grading credit which is basically the price of the tier. I'm a little fuzzy on what the grading credit applies to. Does it only apply to the grading fee and nothing else? Say I sent 3 coins on early bird and so they were $38 each. So I only used $114 of the grading credit so far? I added scratch resistant holders but I don't believe it counted towards them or the handling fee. Just trying to figure out if I have any credit remaining to use as will be sending another shipment soon. Can you look this up on the site or no? Thanks.
  5. Once this program is over they're going to wade into youth sports. This was the final year the quarter program will be taken seriously and I've collected quite a few. Not a fan as these programs go off the rails. I'm not surprised it has now gone out of control. They've made so many different reverses for so many subjects they can strike whatever they want on them now. It'll be rare to find any one type of anything.
  6. The fillable online forms are nice, except when you're trying to use different services on one shipment. If everything you're sending falls under one service it totals up right. If say you select US coins and send a few, then send a few PCGS for cross over service, or World coins too, that's when the process gets messy. I can get one submission filled out. Fill out another submission and see them both there. Then bring up a printable sheet for one and print the copies you need. Then close out and everything disappears. When you go to find the second service you filled out its all gone and I haven't seen where to get back to it. I don't care for how it works to be honest. If only using one service, it's great. But when trying to print off the multiple sets of forms for multiple services, it's no good. It's for the sake of saving on shipping sending everything together. But then it doesn't add up properly between the forms. I struggle with it every time. You can get back to something by the e-mail, but it's not all of the printable forms you need for the second service that didn't get printed. They do charge it properly once it gets there, even if the totals on the paperwork aren't right. Thankfully.
  7. Ok? Lol That’s all that is known? What casino? What year? Why did it warrant its own special label? I’m just trying to understand the significance of it. Usually there’s a proper name or place associated with a hoard. That info would be nice to know if looking to purchase these and possibly pay a premium over it.
  8. You can enter PCGS coins into the NGC registry again now. It changed back last year. It just takes a couple days for them to approve once entered. You get the same points.
  9. Nobody knows!? Why is this still pending approval?
  10. I'm seeing these popping up and I've never seen them before. They're not an option in the special labels so they must be from some recognized hoard for the pedigree? Cool label. I searched and came up with nothing.
  11. That's REALLY specific and really a high grade. Then you're asking for a star too? There's only 134 of the halves that meet that criteria in existence currently. There's a total of 6 nickels that meet your criteria. You could have every dealer in the country canvasing for either of these and never find one. It was worth a shot, just don't want you to be disappointed that the relatively small number of collectors on this forum weren't coming through. Now it would be funny to see somebody here that actually owned one but passed on this because they weren't willing to sell it.
  12. Oh, that autocorrect is awesome. I can't even call myself a name. LOL! I'll have to borrow that one for future use.
  13. Thanks, I feel like an insufficiently_thoughtful_person for asking now. I haven't submitted since they began updating the back log on the website. I'm glad they keep it updated in order to avoid these questions every day.
  14. Dealers send in hundreds, sometimes thousands of coins. I wouldn't automatically assume malice over this. It doesn't really matter when it was graded. It was 9 months ago instead of a month. Ok you got him. Geesh.
  15. I know you guys probably don't want to give daily updates but I haven't seen an update in a while. What date are you guys opening mail from today? Thanks.
  16. Don't ship them back! They rotated during shipping. I just bought a flying eagle cent in a PCGS holder that was rotated. I held it firmly in one hand and hit the wrist of that hand against my arm several times. The vibration spun it around in the slab to being properly oriented. As long as it's not bouncing around it will stay that way.
  17. I'd be ok with allowing one example in the US Type Including moderns next to the original slots. The Innovation dollars are already allowed into it and I'm pretty sure those are not meant for circulation either. Same with Sacagaweas. Allowing one example of the Morgans and the Peace would not be that Earth shattering. I'd like to see it but if the consensus decides they couldn't sleep at night over it, I wouldn't fight to add them either. I don't feel that strongly about it either way. A perfect 70 wouldn't be worth many points. They should just be called Anniversary issues. Which they didn't add the 2016s or the 2014 Kennedy half. So it makes a case for not adding these.
  18. Hi Ali. Did they have the meeting? Is this really that major of a programming request? I'm not saying I'd know how to do it, but would've thought the banner links would have been ready to go when the new site was rolled out. It's handy to click on to get to your sets quickly from a forum. I'm not even seeing the option for the link at the old site anymore.
  19. Hey my avatar is a MS-70 version. I've found on the US mint website that you should not give up if you get an error. Sometimes you simply go through the process again and it lets your order process. I got the bot error today and then tried again and it worked. I could have given up but now I have two new ASE proofs coming. Don't feel bad. I got shut out from getting a V75 as well. I spent 45 min. trying to get that one to no avail. That sale was one of their bigger debacles.
  20. It seems like you guys are usually there but haven’t seen anything in writing. If so will there be on site grading again and what would the turn around time be?
  21. You guys are showing a new Morgan and Peace on the home page in slabs with the new labels. The 2021 Peace will not be high relief but it says it on the label. Are they all just going to get that designation or is this an error and shouldn't be on there? The mint director said they cannot be made in high relief and they will not be in a recent coinworld article. Other Mint insights: The 2021 coins are not considered high relief, Menna said. The portrait relief was adjusted so it does not extend above the rim of each coin.
  22. Hi, was just wondering if you guys were planning special labels for the 100th anniversary Morgans and Peace dollar coming out? The 2016 labels were great. Hoping there will be attractive ones for these as well. I know a lot of people don't care but I think it adds an element of attractiveness to the overall package. I'd suggest maybe an old (or new) pic of the original mints they're associated with on part of it with obvious labeling to help quickly distinguish which is which once they're on the open market.
  23. Well I may as well throw my hat into this thread as a current CT member vagrant. It's not a scam. I've been a member there since 2008. In general I enjoy the forums there. But, I just recently got banned for SIX days without warning for posting in the bullion forum. Another discussion about inflation walked the line of politics and that was it. No warning. Just banned for six days. I think, without naming names, I said the idea that raising corporate income taxes would actually pay for anything we're spending this year was a joke and that it would actually take 20 years with no additional spending to possibly work. THAT was enough nowadays. Mods there are a joke. I will suggest eliminating the bullion forum once I'm back. Had I been in a room with the moderator that banned me I would have rattled off enough profanity at him to make a sailor blush but I'm sure he went to bed feeling high and mighty. Funny part was the day I was banned was the day we finally got info about the new Morgans coming out. Would have loved to chat with some of the folks there about them but not able to until the 19th. I think I'm going to start looking for another forum as CT treats adults like children who can't handle anything. What's funnier is what IS allowed. When I get back I might get permanently banned so lmk what forums I should check out for a new home.
  24. And here I was getting antsy about my economy submission delivered 4/07 and todays 4/13. Its sitting in their P.O box not getting accepted or entered. It looks like this has been going on for months. I did see the current turnaround time was 38 days for economy. That's updated but have to wonder if that's after the mail is accepted or including that delay? It's pretty ridiculous. You think once it arrives there the clock starts but that is not the case. Feel bad for anybody who paid for faster shipping or expedited services.
